The Watchers will soon be here...

It is said that when the Void breaks free into this world, the Watchers will return. It is evident that the Void is leaking through more and more. Rek'Sai has made her way here and soon the Void Gate will be an item within the Summoners Rift store.

You cant tell me that the Void isn't coming. And when it does, The Watchers will return...

"Everybody's forgotten who built this bridge and why. Everybody's forgotten the war that gave this place it's scars. Everyone, but me. I was there! I saw the battle! I died here, and I never left this place! I was bound here to stand guard and sound my war horn when our enemies ever returned. And now, now the howling grows louder, and I sense something evil stirring in the abyss, my hand reaches for my war horn. This place will soon see a battle again. One that will shape the Freljord for all time. And if the Freljord falls, so too will the rest of the world. Yes, this is more than just a bridge." ― Greyor

"We are the chosen, destined to receive the gifts of the Watchers. Our faith is tested by bitter cold and endless winter. A crucible that separates the worthy from the unworthy, purging doubt, and leaving purity behind. The others fight like neglected children, petty squabbles that will amount to nothing in the end. We have purpose, to prepare this land for new masters. The Watchers return. Our ascendance is at hand." ― Lissandra

EDIT:

I must clarify to all that the Watchers themselves may not be from the Void. It is just rumored the WHEN the Void comes into this world, the Watchers will return.

You do know that these dialogues exist for nearly a year and half, right? "Soon" can mean any time..

Here's something to support the theory: After Vel'Koz was leaked, people started theorizing about that Vel'Koz is a Watcher. But when Vel'Koz was revealed and had his Q&A, Riot Opeli said that, while Vel'Koz is not a Watcher himself, it's not crazy to think that there's a rift of some kind on the Bridge.

I think that the Abyss of the Howling Abyss is not the literal abyss under the bridge.. The Void is referred as "Abyss" in a few places (a really obvious one is Koggy's title, "the Mouth of the Abyss"). ;)

Even though there's TECHNICALLY no lore tying the Watchers / anything Freljordian to the Void, I support and approve this message.

And soon we're going to have that Poro event on the bridge .... INB4 THE WATCHERS ARE ACTUALLY POROS Like, what if the new skins featuring poros are actually just the champions after the watchers have taken over.

If anyone here plays Neopets...there should be a site-wide event where everyone can pick a side and battle it out. Everyone who participated get's a reward but the winning "side" gets something special in remembrance of the event (a skin, icon, ward etc.)

I doubt The Void is directly connected to Freljord or The **Frozen **Watchers. (Shurima, on the other hand...) Some think they looked similar to Vel'Koz, but I believe the statues' "tentacles" are really horns. The Watchers seem rather to be cyclopean, possibly hairy, creatures with horns or tusks. Also they seem to have eyelids, Vel'Koz does not. http://i.imgur.com/zOjvWIb.jpg The image is from Freljords Promo Page; That's what they look like in the flesh, supposedly.

I actually have my own take on how the watchers are related to the void. Writing a short set of stories for LRP. Here is the link to the thing where u can see part 1-3 http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/bBxUQPg4-lrp-the-legendary-once-guardians-part-1 Edit: I still however am in the process of making part 4

Overall it was never confirmed that the watchers are from the void. It would be a bit weird for them to be from there considering that so far we didn't have any void creature who has any sort of elemental power,so why would the watchers be voidcreatures with ice powers? Has the void any ice at all?

Also while the statues do resemble vel'koz, that is mainly because they seem to have only one eye and something that could be tentacles(but they could also be horns) and the statues at the side have actually hands and the towers(who seem to be watchers) seem to have a more humanoid body in general.
