So... making Tryndamere a little bit more serious?

I really love his lore and I really love his brutal northern persona. But I think that he could have some tweaks. Why does his W, Mocking Shout, make enemies sound like chickens? Seriously, chickens? Why is it so comical and why it doesn't fit him? His legendary skin, Demoblade Tryndamere, which was supposed to be even more brutal and even more nightmarish, is also making his enemies sound like chickens with the chicken icon above them. Isn't that ridiculously funny? Also, his joke. About his right arm. Yeah, yeah, call me pervert. But don't deny the fact that you didn't think about his giant sword in the first place. You thought about Tryndamere's trainings when he have a free time. Considering the fact that now him and Ashe are no longer husband and wife, you can clearly see that he sharpened his right arm technique to the boss-like level. On a serious note, it couldn't be that embarrassing and it calms his "kill-them-all-or-die" character a little bit with something hilarious and unserious, that's a real joke one champion can have and live with it. But a combo of his strong arm and chicken mocking shout is really out of place, so I start questioning myself - is he a serious character or a comical character? Was Aatrox sure that he has chosen the right person for his dark plans?

Gonna stop you right there. JoJ stuff happened, as such all the Freljord stuff did, as such Tryndamere and Ashe are still married. And Ashe is still Queen of Freljord. And no one knows Lissandra's the Ice Witch.

But on the subject of this whole thing? Yeah I'd agree they could and should make Tryndamere a bit more serious of a character. I mean he's king of the sodding barbarians of the frozen north. The guy's a stone cold bad arse. Jokes I will never say should be serious or taken seriously at all, but over all I feel like they can make Tryndamere much more of the Barbarian King he's meant to be.

Personally I am not really bothered by this chicken thing. I mean yes it is kinda silly,but it makes the enemies look silly,not tryndamere himself. Also tryndas joke is silly,yes,but thats what jokes are supposed to be,so I have no problem with that.

But yeah he really needs more quotes to make his character clear,right now he basically just walks around saying "i'm angry" and thats it,it doesn't reflect his role as a king and a leader at all(although rage is an important aspect of his character that needs to stay)

Look at Sion. He was whole sorts of corny, yet he turned out okay when Riot rolled around to him.

I don't see the issue. 90% of the time when Trynd uses Mocking Shout, he's using it to chase a fleeing enemy. Or in other words, to catch a chicken.

I'd rather he keep some of his silly stuff. Like, the rework worked for Sion, but they didn't take away all his funny lines. The champions that go full "3edgy5u" are generally forgettable and groanworthy.

I think Tryndamere with some updates to be more intimidating would be fine, like you mentioned, but if he turns into DEMONIUS DEMONBLADE, THE BLOODDRINKER AND NUN STABBER some 13 year old doodled in math class, it would really be a shame.

The Tryndamere joke is pretty classic, though. I mean, it's a dumb dick joke, but it's pretty funny. I'd be OK with changing it, but it doesn't bother me.

I'll reiterate that League was FAR more light-hearted when it first started. The whole Srs Bsns thing is a relatively recent development.

Yeah the chicken thing is outdated. It's from the days when League had a more silly style going on. As soon as he gets some particle updates I bet that's gone for good. About the arm thing, it's just a joke. Most champions have jokes that are completely out of character. Don't take that too seriously or character defining.
