Why is the new Poro design so absent-minded looking and bottom heavy?
This is the second time the Poros are being re-designed, and I just can't imagine why the complete design of Poros are changed again. I mean, the pervious Poro design wasn't perfect, but it was cute, simple, and distinct enough to work well, and all I could personally see it needing is a texture update since it was added, what, 2 years ago now? But now the Poro design is just odd. It looks like the Poro started melting and its face began sliding down, like a snowman whose body melted into a puddle, and its eyes and nose started sliding down, but its head was still normal. The eyes also look wayyyy too small compared to the size of the Poro itself now that it makes it look incredibly dim. Obviously this isn't a huge problem since Poros don't have distinct characters and are mostly just League's equivalent of dogs, but the previous Poro design has a good eye size and shape that makes it look big enough to be cute, but small enough to keep the distinct head shape from being muddied by the eye colour. Not to mention what usually makes animals and, as a result, anime characters so distinctively "cute" and "approachable" are the big eyes. A kitten's eyes aren't huge, but they're definitely pretty big relative to their face, same with adult home cats.
I'm genuinely curious, what is the precedent for updating the existing Poro's model to this new, dopier looking design?
