PROJECT Jhin from a Jhin main
I'd like to give some feedback on my main man's new skin, as well as ask some questions about it.
The mask - The mask appears to be a sentient bug-like robot that attaches to Jhin's face to bring him to life. I make this observation as, in his recall animation, the mask detaches from his face to activate the terminal. While it does this, Jhin appears to die, or at least go dormant until it returns to him. Also, in his death animation, the bug dies with him. So, my question is, is his consciousness in his mask, or is the mask it's own being meant to suppress him? Seeing as Jhin is an incredibly dangerous person, it would make sense that he would be made with this limitation. The jacket - Personally, I like it. It's very much his style, especially that collar. People have been complaining about the color and length of it, though. I always think of Jhin as a character when I think of his skins. A long coat wouldn't suit him, as it would drag on the ground when he crouches, getting dirty in the process. It would also get caught on things. Personally, I think it brings the eye up towards the upper half of his body from the bottom half. The light color of the collar helps the dark mask stand out, and the green helps bring out the red. The aura - The crit speed boost color is blue, which doesn't really fit the skin to me. It helps to see the 4th shot boost, yes, but it does take one out of the moment. Overall - Overall, the skin fits him nicely. However, I've taken note that people dislike the dullness of it. However, when you think of Jhin's character, he's an assassin. This skin does present him as that more than any other, as it gives him a sense of stealth.
So, my questions are... Is the mask him, or it's own being? As in, is his mind within that bug-like robot, or is it a means of activation? When it's removed, he goes dormant. So, without the mask, he'd technically die? When was this shin planned? A lot of people are complaining about how Jhin has gotten 3 skins this year. However, was his PROJECT skin planned before he was chosen for the SKT skin? I ask because people were concerned that there would be no PROJECT skins this year, so it seems like development took longer than expected.
I love Jhin and his skins. You guys do him justice every time. However, please do give some attention to some of the other champions that are lacking in the skins department, even if they aren't as 'popular' as my main man. It's hard to be popular when you don't have any cool outfits to wear, so releasing skins for neglected champions may help bring some attention to them. For example, I love A. Sol, but he only has his release skin despite the massive amount of potential for him. Why make boring old humanoid skins when you could make an awesome dragon? If you ever need some ideas, I'd be more than happy to help.
