Off Note: I posted it in the correct boards, you recommended this one which is illogical. Guess it's just the one which nobody reads. So thanks Enjoy the repost. ^^

Clearly you love destroying the lore and personallity of champions. I accept that.

But why does Katarina have a new voice actress using her current quetos? Was it too hard to just use the original voice actress recordings and rework them? Sorry, doesnt mean I like this skin or the idea behind it. But you are literally destroying her... So what? At the assassins rework her KIT will be destroyed, her lore too and most likely a new actress with voice her? Welp... This is pretty much a huge downfall than a step front. Sorry to say. Maybe I'll sound arrogant and stubborn and for most of you stupid. But this is litterally lazy work by the designers. Maybe some of them read my tales and enjoy it and can comeback with saying that I aint any better. But look at it, I do fanfiction for the people to enjoy ,even if not a lot do... But at least I dont get paid for it...

As my feedback states. This is a destruction of a champion personallity, lore and perfecttly awesome voice. Cant wait to see who'll be lost in this chaos next.

For the record, I mean no offence. I just want to give a feedback on the current state and this? Chaos that's going on... And if anyone wonders, about what tale i talk about just wrote "Noxian tale" in the concept and creation section and you'll see... Have fun on the rift. Hope i never get the pleasure of owning project NOT Katarina, with my horrible luck in hextech crafting :)))

That is 100% the same voice over she uses in every skin. It's just altered with the processing.

This thing has 0 to do with her orginal voice... GO compare ashe already... How can ashe sound ashe and Kata not? Seriously...

That's editing not Processing. There's a lot more that goes into processing then just a simple audio edit.

It is the same voice actress.

I mean think about it: Why should they hire a new VA and then have her do the exact same quotes again instead of something new? Right there wouldn't be any reason to do something like that.

Also I feel its a bit weird to claim that changing the Voice actor destroys the personality of the champ,since the sound of your voice isn't really linked to your personality. Not to mention that you instantly assume that the assassin-rework will destroy her kit and that her lore will be "destroyed" for pretty much no reason at all...

Ryze? Or you forgot him and his lore and his new voice which made him worse than ever and killed his anoying personality and made it dull and anoying?

Improving her kit leads to one thing = Perma ban, more newbs picking her and not letting u play Chaning her kit (which is most obvious atm) = making true kata mains to lose 7 years of their lives learning/mastering her. chaning VA = Why? Because they can easily add new stuff when the rework comes and make her a new person totally with new stuff and new voice, which pretty much leads to VA not chaning personality ? = Her voice is pretty much what makes her personality awesome. Change the voice and you lose the soul behind her, Ryze is a pure example as I said already...

So "Destroyed" is pretty much... a huge option ^^

And destroying kits or lore, or champions is something that happened whole year till now and almost whole 2015... Yeah true I loved the rework she got back in the days, but it was only her W getting reworked and she needed a huge VU, I mean... her hair was just awkward back thean dn now she's just perfecto... >_>

EVERYTHING has a reason! Dont question it! You'll see! You'll all see! And then you'll say "You were right kitty kapy! You were right! We didnt listen! Now we have to suffer and perma ban Kata who's not Kata anymore! KAPY SAVE US!" and then i'll say "I said so! None belived me! Now enjoy, I'm leaving this game, cuz they killed my lil kitty kat, this thing aint the girl I luv!"

Ryze got a full VGU,with complete voice over,new animations,new model,new abilities,etc. Katarina got a non-legendary skin and might get a small gameplay update that will likely change one or two of her abilities. That is hardly comparable... (not to mention that I have to say that Ryzes new VO,gameplay and lore are much better now...)

If you wanna compare the upcoming Katarina changes,then you should compare them more to the mage update. And the mage update was pretty positively received and most of the time it only changed one ability.

And 100 items , that pretty much ruined my builds and forced me to remake all of em?

I doubt it will be 1-2 abilities when a Riot designer says that her kit is verry similar to talon/zed and should be tweaked a lot so it doesnt feel the same, EVEN if she was the first assassin released... But hey Zeddy boy is more played, so guess he's the poster boy who doesnt need changes ever ^^

And look at the previous class updates. No champ had more than 2 abilities changed drastically. The biggest change was probably Malzahar whose W and passive were completely new and who got his old W moved to his ult.

So bascially they speak of her as the malazahar of the assassins, so she'll get the drastic change? Key den...

And yeah it's horrible to remake my builds, becuasen obody cares that I use AP aswella nd I lost ~100 AP with this last rework on items... And ofc ADCs and AD junglers take blue buff which is suppost to compensate that loss of AP... So Yeah, it's anoying and a horrible "nerf" to me... Have you see someone giving blue to a Katarina? I just get falmed if I take it... Even if I need it

Excuse me? Changing the voice of one person, because you were too lazy to rework the original, isnt lazy work? 0r am I missing somethin g? Everyone keeps original voice, she gets a new voice? That's definitly not stupid right? :o

No need to be aggressive. I just didn't (and still don't) understand. I think that finding and hiring a new voice actress and working with her to create a whole new set of quotes for katarina would be more challenging to taking the original voice files and slightly tweaking them with a simple filter to make them match the project theme.

I can literally hire a voice actress for 50 euro to do 50 quetos... That's what it means... And why they tweak for all others, and buy a cheap actress to change whole Kata's voice? So they'll just remove her current awesome attractivea nd same time scary voice with some, cheap 50 bucks actress? Well, RIP kata... guess project stuff really kills you my lil red... ^^

While I still disagree with your opinion for many reasons, thanks for your insight anyways. Also, I suggest you change your title to 'Feedback on the Project Katarina skin.' simply for accuracy.

no point, it's getting ignored anyway, no matter what title i wrote. That's why they told me to move form the correct board to the one that nobody even reads ^^ Except 1-2 chosen specials :p

And yes, everyone disaggress with the 7 years old Katarina main with thousands of games with her and nearly 3k hours in skyrim as her... Dw... ^^ I even got her original voice actress in skyrim, cuz lazy work and too hard to compress the original voice files... And I didnt even pay a cent to anyobody to do it! Amusing! Right?

All proccessed voices sound 100% the same as the original, hers doesnt sound evne 1%... So it's not called voice proccessing, it's called a new actress...

Seriously if they had redone her VO then the skin wouldn't be 1350. Hiring a new VA costs more than processing the voice,they wouldn't do that for a 1350-skin...

They could always hire a cheap none proffesional that costs way less at any time... Ryze for example has the most unproffesional voice acting I've ever heard in a game... There was this movie "merlins daughter" back in the days... The most disgusting on it, wasnt the actors doing bad, wasnt the bad script or the bad visual effects... It was that Merlin himself that made the movie horrible... And this ryze sounds 100% like that guy... Horrible as hell... So what's the problem o9f hiring some cheap bad actor to voice Kata's project skin and probly after rework aswell, because she'll probly get a "VU" update too...

Yeah because it would be a really good idea not to hire professionals? Riot isn't that small anymore,they won't hire just some random people to do VO. Especially not to get the exact same lines that they already have again.

In the end Riot themselves said that she has an altered VO,not a new one.

While your concerns are valid, the way you go about argumenting them is one of the most naive baby-faced tantrums I've seen here.

You disregard any counterpoints with childish, spoiled anger that makes me and other users think you're 11 years old. It's hard to reason with you and eventually you might get downvoted and forgotten instead of simply resolving the situation :/ Do consider.

As it stands, Kata has her old voice that is heavily processed as per PROJECT standards. If you listen closely, the pitch is a bit different (hence you not recognizing it), but the accent and tempo for each parallel quote is exactly the same. That would be incredibly hard to reproduce if it really were a new VA.

The "accent" is different, if you really listen to it... And I never called anyone stupid :o They just dont pay the same attention as me and speak blindly. Same as you... The "accent" aint the same, I wasted 2 hours listening, it aint, just aint ^^ If they tweaked the pronouncment aswell, which is illogal then I'll pretend I belive, but that aint the Kata voice I know (even if robotised) and why is her "highly" modified, if none else is? ^^ Even zed who has a weird voice sounds completly like zed in his "robotic" self.

And no my conserns arent valid, because I'm just one person who really cares for the champion. The concerns of people who played her max 100 times are more valid than mine... Fairness is infinite ^^

Edit: You realize I got bigger attention this way instead of the been "nice" and agreen with everyone way? Plus most of the community want her to be removed from the game ,so they are happy when such stuff is done to her... Just saying...

  1. You are babbling for attention. Okay, got it. However, doing this like you do only works short term and might leave a string of bad rep behind you, so look out.

  2. She will obviously not be removed from the game, silly. This is a popular community joke/moaning, "pls remove x from the game". Unless a Rioter says it you don't need to worry. No champ was removed yet and if they were it'd be widespread information.

  3. Your concerns are valid. Rioters have these forums so people will express themselves. If the idea/concern you have is good/valid, with a little luck people will pick up on it and upvote you so someone from Riot will see, or at least discuss it and try to explain why they don't agree with you.

And as the majority disagrees, I fear this thread will die a quick death no matter how you'll act. :/

Maybe you could ask Riot about the voice processing method before it happens. Not critique what we think is the new VA, but SPECIFICALLY ask if it's a new VA? It's not that difficult.

However, with the state this thread is in, I suggest you just listen to what everyone is trying to tell you, accept it, delete this, and move on with your life.

Tried with good reputation. All I got was false "praising" for a short while and a huge amount of ignoring. Getting bad reputation brings more attention and even if none sees my points been valid, maybe someone in the high chairs will check and consider... "What if this... random Kitty Katarina, this kapy, this thing... IS right? WHAT IF WE'RE DOING IT WRONG?"...

Whatever... Lost home in the internet communities agaes ago anyway... Only way to get attention from higher spots to to get the community to hate you more and more anyway ^^

first off, Voice Processing does not equal a new VA, if PROJECT: Katarina had a new VA she would sound completely different

a new VA is only required if Katarina receives a VGU, which is unlikely

being a 1350RP, it's pretty simple to just give a robot-like voice filter to match the other skins
