I'm not necessarily talking about individual characters, or particular factions. I'm talking about the League of Legends.
Are you planning to develop/re-work its lore? Or is the League of Legends merely a thing of the past?
The lore rework was a stupid move in the first place. Who completely redo a game's lore 5 years after initial launch?
It's not like it was bad, sure it wasn't Great but it was by no means an incompetent set up, the coolest part of the old LoL lores is that it fixed the awkwardness of the champions/heroes/whatever talking to thin air when moving or attacking, but nope they wanna get rid of that.
Also they will need to rework a huge amount of champs' lores, give new explanations to why they even exist (
and 
alike I think) and redo some of their quotes as well because of the mentioning of summoners. Also RIP 
's humor.
Without League of Legends or summoners, Riot is basically denying that this game is even existing because well our game's name is League of legends. Why do they even fight in the first place? And why are all champions fighting on the rift for eternity (it is even called "Summoner's Rift")?
Urgh I do not know why they do that but really if I were the CEO or something I would actually pull it out (disgraceful but who cares) before more shiet hit the fan.
Pretty sure It's dead. I also heard some of the Narrative quit. Very very stupid decision they made. Only lore update we got was amumu's long lore on pbe. but thats nothing, nothing that they promised us so many times. League of Legends lore is gone and buried. Only now its just focused on gameplay.
Riot has said the League is gone. It is not merely a thing of the past, it is a dream of some alternate reality.
It's gone. The lore is now it's own thing. Then the game attempts to reflect the lore without making an impact on it in any way.
It's a double edged sword, where it removes the confusion of why you would have creatures like 
or 
joining but contradicts all of the previous lore which was now retconned by why things like 
exist?
I'm just waiting paitently.
I was a warrior.
Then I was betrayed and died.
Then I came back and joined the League of Legends, because what else are you supposed to do when you're dead?
