Now that Mount Targon has been seen to span over the middle of Runeterra where the Institute of War was suppossed to be doess this make the peak at the center, at the same place with the building of the Institute of War,
I'd like to add the Leona is from the Rakkor tribe, she only became Solari after she got her powers.
FOOL, Shurima is the center of Runeterra and the universe! everyone knows that.
Well if you're talking about Runterra's centroid, then it's entirely possible that Mount Targon could be the middle, but that's entirely dependent on what other forms of landmass there are on Runeterra, coupled with what Valoran actually looks like now, considering the geography of the continent is likely vastly different from the spherical Valoran of days past.
I think it is possible that Targon was once a great empire like Shurima and possibly even the most powerful at one time. I also think that Shurimas and Targons high points are much more acient (akin to Acient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Persia, Greece) than Demacias and Noxus (akin to 100 - 1600 AD Europe). So in my head canon, I would think that Targon would interact with the early ancestors of Demacia and Noxus (Similar to Roman Britain 43 AD - 410). I also think that with the fall of Shurima other nations and empires where able to capitalize a expand (posibly Noxus and Demacia).
Just as a final disclaimer, this is all my head canon.

Just commenting to upvote, would to like to see this thread get some attention.
It'd make sense. If it's in the middle of Valoran then Demacia and Noxus would have to interact with it from time to time. They probably cause enough destruction that the land around the base is not longer fertile, so they tribes there can't grow anything. Since they can't grow any food and they have wars happening all around them, their culture would evolve to accommodate their situation. Ergo: Produce warriors to act as mercenaries so they get money to provide food for their people.
