I do not like the new Singed splash. Here is why.

So, surrender@20 and reign of gaming have been showing off the new singed texture update and splash art. As a massive Singed player, I'm happy with the texture updates, but i think the splash killed Singed for me. I imagined Singed as this imposing, composed 6-foot tall Professor. Cold in demeanor and capable of great evil. He was closer to Hannibal Lecter, with this unsettling aspect surrounding him. He was the kind of general that would punish underlings with experimentation and burning. He was the kind of guy who spoke eloquently and calmly, even able to describe victims burning and screaming for mercy in a detached and detailed report l. He is a remorseless social evil, a scientist without moral boundry. The new splash doesn't convey that dangerous aura that could suck air out of a room as he walked in. It shows him running, his one working eye in focus. But the element of cool is gone. His posture is hunched over and strange, hes holding his shield up. There is no sign of intelligence. If I had to describe Singed based on his splash, he looks like a Kobold-esque crazy guy. Gone is any sign of intelligence or composure. Thats not a man who ordered a bio- chemical barrage on his own men. Thats Hyde. Evil but not in any way clever. Hes a generic looking guy. I have no reason to enjoy his character. Hyde was good because of Jekel as a foil. The new singed splash is an interpration of him that I cringe at. Sure it captures his gameplay which involves running, but it misses all the subtle depth of Singed. Hes no longer someone who would dip your hand into a skin melting solution of sorts while smiling and calmly reporting. Please talk with me about this because I feel the character's direction is lost here. Thanks folks.
