I'm making a DnD campaign based around League for my friends and I, and one of them wanted some kind of Troll/Half Troll race. What do we know about Trolls in LoL? I know everything that's said in Trundle's lore, but are there any other references to them?

HalcyonDweller3 votesIf you're making a troll race you might want to look at how the monster manuals and player character races compare. See how other races and half-races handle watering down the monster abilities to make it balanced for a player.
Definitely don't just give them the stats and traits of an actual troll, that would run the risk of being quite OP.

Yeah, I definitely don't plan to just making them too op. Since a homebrew, I'm thinking taking liberties and making half trolls a thing would be the best way to go about it. And thanks for the encouragement!

Xenohaz3 votesJust based on the Olaf vs Everything comic, and Trundle's splash art, trolls are MUCH larger than humans. I don't think you could run them as a player race, they wouldn't fit in most buildings. I ran into similar problems when I toyed with the idea of a giant/ogre player character. Granted the comic is not necessarily canon but I assume the splash art is. I really like the idea of a LoL-universe D&D campaign though, good luck!

You're right. The best way to go about it would probably be to make half trolls a thing.
