Bummer that Caleb died. (Quinn's new bio)

I was hoping the new update would possibly give me some leeway to believe Talon = Caleb... But I am bummed because it clearly stated Caleb was a spear man, and that he was buried.

Hopefully in the Noxus update(I hope this will happen) they may give me a reason that Talon may still be Caleb, because in all honesty his lore is pretty vague.

But I doubt it.

PS I don't ship it, but it would make so much sense...

I was really hoping this theory would be true as well, but there's still potential in the Quinn vs. Talon rivalry at least. He remains listed as a related champion in her Universe page, even though he was completely removed from her new lore. Hoping this means their relationship will be further explored in the future apart from the obvious Demacia vs. Noxus hatred.

I am waiting for interaction stories to become a thing between champions.

I mean we almost got a taste in the Jax story (Jax vs Fiora).

But it would be so sick if Riot actually clarified on reasoning for certain rivalries that are not totally threshed out or friendships.

I know it's a huge stretch but the assassin Quinn found COULD be Talon. Honestly I'm only talking about it because I need something to fill the void of them removing the Caleb Talon theory. The Day of Lost Light seems like an important thing, it's weird how they'd randomly call out a specific day. Also they got into a lot of detail about Quinn waiting for her commendation before leaving. As in they could've wrote something like "after getting her commendation she left the city once again" instead of the extra fluff, but maybe that's just author stuff.

That's a good point about the Day of Lost Light, at first I just assumed it was the writers stuffing in as many details about Demacia as they could but it may been brought up for a reason. That being said, there's no way the assassin mentioned in her new bio was Talon, seeing as the assassin was trapped and subsequently killed by Q&V, and we all know Riot wouldn't just kill a champion off that easily unless it comes with a twist of some sort (i.e. GP's death during Burning Tides, etc).

The reason why I think there's a tiny bit of plausibility in the theory is because it doesn't say how the person was killed. When we look at Caleb they completely got rid of him saying he was gored by the Tuskivore (sounds like something that only eats Tusks) but for this assassin guy they only say "Quinn and Valor tracked and killed the assassin after a night of lethal traps, counterattacks and ambushes". So it was really challenging and stuff. She also brings back the assassins dagger only, why not the body? I really don't care about this theory but it could be a bit of something something.

I just don't feel like there's much room for interpretation in that line, the bio flat out states Q&V killed the assassin and then received honors for it. It's also written from a third-person perspective, so I think we can eliminate the possibility of an unreliable narrator.

That being said, headcanons will be headcanons, so you can choose to make of the story what you wish, of course =)

I think that it is very unlikely at the present time, unfortunately. However, I believe that the possibility has not disappeared at all. Because it is not written that it buried a "corpse".
