Aatrox & Bard • Nemesis

Okay so, im just a bit wondering about the "lore" (we don't know rly much about these 2 characters) of these guys and i can't help but think that Aatrox is like the nemesis of Bard.

From what i can understand Bard is an interdimensional being (we don't know if there are others like him) that travel the dimensions to bring order and set peace.

Well, i think Aatrox is just the polar opposite. We know that there are others like him (we havn't seen those yet), and from his lore piece we can see he bring war and conflict everywhere he goes. Also he may be a superior being himself, like a demi god coming down to bring chaos.

So i think there is potential there for a nice Darkin vs. Bard race, specifically Aatrox vs Bard.

We could learn new things there, and this may be translated in game as a big event like the Freljord one was. We may get some champions ally with Aatrox and others with Bard and things like that.

Aatrox is a Darkin. Not a demigod. He's lives for battle. Not for death or strife. He's not evil and he does not seek to cause chaos or imbalance. He doesn't "bring war and conflict" He goes to it. Revels in it. Then moves on.

The thing is that Aatrox brings war,but Bard doesn't really seem to care about wars among mortals.

In the video the village was attacked by Noxians and what did bard do?Right he took the egg,to make sure its power isn't misused and basically left the village at the mercy of the noxian military.

Aatrox assisting armies in butchering their opponents probably doesn't concern Bard at all and I doubt that aatrox sees bard as his enemy as bard lacks interest in these kinds of conflicts unless they threaten the cosmic balance.

Bard is beyond petty rivalry.

Yes in abstract, darkin are the polar opposites of celestial beings, but celestial beings don't act around worldly / material matters, whereas darkin do. So I dont think they have a personal / group conflict there.

Bard Bard is a "Celestial Being" (Similar to Soraka Soraka), a spirit that brings balance to the cosmos.

Aatrox Aatrox is a Darkin, we dont have many info about his race... but we know that there are only 5 of them alive.

As many other people mentioned, Aatrox Aatrox likes to fight. Bard Bard does not care about fights... they don't have an actual connection... but they both influence in the history of Runeterra:

Bard influences Runeterran history in very different manner than the Darkins. Where Darkin directly influence key events in history through conflict and bloodshed, the Celestial passively pushes the world back to balance during its most desperate hours

What a lot of people are saying is that Aatrox and Bard are polar opposites, but I actually disagree.

I think they're both True Neutral.

because although they interact with the world in opposite ways (bard is passive, Aatrox is more aggressive and actually kills humans.) I think their overall goal is the same. Aatrox only fights for the side that was MEANT to win. so no matter how small the chance of victory was before, Aatrox will bring victory to them no matter the circumstances. In a sense, he doesn't care why or who he's fighting for, as long as the battle has the correct outcome. Thus rebalancing the course of history.

If Aatrox was just fighting for the sake of fighting, then everyone on the battlefield would end up dead, and noone would win. So that shows that he does have a set goal whenever he appears.

Bard is exactly the same. If something is about to go wrong, and upset the balance of Runeterra, Bard will always appear, and always correct it no matter the circumstances. ensuring the correct outcome.

Someone in another thread suggested that Bard is actually a member of the Darkin race, lol. I don't know if that's true though because i think bard is some kind of celestial race.

I still think it could be a cool concept
