Kha'zix inspiration question

Was Khazix's lore inspired in part by the Chimera ant arc of Hunter x Hunter?

The Chimera ants do not breed normally. Instead, they cross their own DNA with that of their prey, resulting in their offspring having some of the traits of the consumed animals.

Kha'zix works much in the same way. When he first came from the void, he was a weak little bug, but he possessed the ability to absorb the traits of those who he consumed. By hunting strong prey, Kha eventually became the nightmare bug we know today.

Overall its not uncommon to associate bugs with evolution,so its possible that both the chimera ants and kha'zix were simply both inspired by that concept.

Also he really looks like a space pirate from metroid http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/metroid/images/e/e9/Pirate_thm.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100322224747

He was inspired by a mixture of the Xenomorph and Omen, a cancelled champion.

I think Kha'Zix, like most Champions, takes inspiration from a wide variety of sources and concepts.

Not saying you did this, but I feel it's a little nescient to pin down someone's inspiration to just one or two things, especially if the history behind the supposed source of inspiration isn't realized. Yes, he could've been inspired by the Chimera Ants or the Xenomorphs or whatever, but what were the basis for those things? And is not possible the source of inspiration came directly from that basis rather than the medium implied?
