couldn't last 10 seconds

Both his and Xayah's voices sound like they would fit in a movie set in a cheesy high school movie.

Blood Magicks4/4/2017, 7:44:00 PM32 votes

Now I understand why they're together.

Nobody else can stand the sound of their voices.

EDIT: With all due respect, Riot, everything else, from design to abilities to concept was so good, and now this.

I'm in fucking LOVE with both of their VOs, flaws and all.

And let's be honest, these two are the April and Andy of League now.

X: Someone is going to die... R: Of fun!!!

Imagine the reactions If they were gay couples.

People would lose their shit, and say ''children play this game'', ''It wasn't necessary'', ''I thought we were done with SJW bullshits'', ''Politics, here we go again.'' ''This is just a MOBA game, we don't need sexuality and romance, nobody gives a fuck''. etc.

I mean, they probably will lose their shit anyway, as Riot said they will confirm at least one gay champion in story. But the sad thing is, people don't even give a fuck about them while a big part of their theme is their romance and they will be always remembered by their love. It is by far the biggest couple officially shown by Riot. Everything about them smells love. Recall, Splash Art, Quotes, Synergy and probably Story.

THIS IS TOTALLY NOT A BAD THING THOUGH.

I actually love it and I'm excited about their relationship.

I'm complaning about community, not Riot. Riot is one of the most friendly companies I ever seen.

But can you see how will people react to confirmed gay champion in a story, even while It will high likely be confirmed by just a few words, rather than compare to Xayah and Rakan?

I would like to see people who said sentences above toward me in the past. It would be better to know that I may be wrong about them and they not are hypocrites as I think.

But no.

Woah what the fuck. I was expecting suave, not Kevin Hart.

Their dialogue together is actually pretty good. They bicker with each other damn near like a married couple. It's actually quite accurate lol.

Though, I think the voice fits their personality. Not everyone is full of vibrate personalities and Xayah does come off like a stressed out cocky apathetic bitch and well . . . people like that exist.

Just the same as people like Rakan exist.

Though, I think it's interesting because the overall tone + personality of their voices drastically change when they're duoed together, and when they're solo. You can tell they're much happier/more vibrant when in lanes together and when they're with other supports they have entirely different dialogue like they're bored and don't want to be there and seem overly annoyed.

From a story + personality perspective this makes sense because people are drastically more different when solo/with strangers than they are with people they're strongly attached to. So, with all of that said . . . the voice acting is quite accurate contrary to other's opinions.

Rakan's voice is pretty terrible. I was kinda enthralled by him, but that never in this game have I ever been so turned off of a character by a VO as hard as his. Ugh. He was so pretty, his kit looks so cool. He just sounds absolutely batshit terrible. He's not charming, he's fucking obnoxious. I am so disappointed that Riot ruined such an elegant character with such a terrible VO.

Literally biggest fuckboy of 2017 lol

Valor Bot4/4/2017, 8:00:18 PM10 votes

They sound a bit more 'earthly' than I expected. That is, their lingo and dialect seems more like something straight out of our society rather than a culture of magical, half-human bird people. (Why do Runeterrans also call their significant others 'baby', and what are the odds of that considering they live on an entirely different planet from us within an entirely different social environment?)

IronwallJackson4/4/2017, 7:51:54 PM10 votes

Yo, it's the Kled dilemma again, where his most bombastic voice lines are front-loaded into these audio dumps because of how Riot labels their files. The soundbites from 2 minutes onward are much more subdued and actually fit how Rakan looks.

Demens Astrum4/4/2017, 9:11:52 PM9 votes

Didn't know he is black...

DWT123454/4/2017, 8:58:06 PM8 votes

The first minute or two is him using his ultimate. You can tell by his voicelines that he's trying to distract them, which is what he does in the story, while Xayah moves in. The rest of his voicelines make a lot more sense.

Natake4/4/2017, 7:42:29 PM7 votes

Oh my God this is not what I expected. 2:02 is what all of his voice should sound like IMO

FlameHalbrdOkido4/5/2017, 6:27:34 AM7 votes

I also kinda feel like some of Rakan's lines are the pent of fury of all the supports and their crave for recognition and equality.

His voice is like the voice of supports in all the ways that I can't put into words

FantasySniper4/4/2017, 11:08:41 PM6 votes

He's overconfident.

I feel like it'll grow on people.

DID I JUST FUCKING HEAR AN ARCHER "DANGER ZONE" REFERENCE!!! im done. i gotta play him now.

FakeGravity4/4/2017, 8:32:01 PM5 votes

so roster and hyperactive, fitting of a highly mobile champion and definitely of a charmer dancer (clearly not a singer)

Draclen4/4/2017, 8:08:54 PM5 votes

He kinda reminds me of a more flamboyant Flynn Rinder from Tangled.

Edit: Much more flamboyant

Their interaction between each other is hilarious, they act like a real couple.

Althought I wonder how the shared quotes will work, do they have to stand close to each other in order to trigger them? If so, what distance?
