That's not the point. This monstrosity of a new GP completely destroys everything he has ever been. He's no longer the king, and he doesn't even look like a pirate now. Just because some of us are going to have his pre-event updated skin doesn't change the fact that Riot is changing him into something hideous.

No shit, its called character development. People dont stay the same, specially after traumatic experiences.

IMO his character was no longer in need of developing. Captain GP was fine as THEHOBBITS said. We now only have 1 pirate left in the game, and technically, she's just a bounty hunter. GP isn't a pirate anymore, just a husk of what he was, bent on revenge. Development that he didn't need.

Wait so you want characters to develop but when Riot does that you complain how it didnt stay the same. You people contradict yourselves so hard.

I don't own GP. I don't think I will play him unless he is on free week just to see how he is. Im talking about the whole lore, art and story. They had him so good. Then they killed him off and replaced Gangplank, Pirate King with Pirate Mc'Cyborg guy.

Its not a matter of "He has a hook hand now". Its the fact that they were spot on with the visual rework, but they took it that extra step. I know they are making it so you can get the "Captain" GP skin if you play him, but did they need to remake him twice? And in the future, after the event, can we buy this "Captain" skin?

Thats the thing though.

I've seen many times people complaining about how Riot tends to give us archetypes not characters. Now a character becomes somewhat unique in a way that hasn't much to do with his archetype and people are complaining about it.

Replacement limbs of any kind aren't even that uncommon for a pirate,giving him a mechanical arm(its not even the full arm) is just a little twist on this concept.

The arm doesn't even look like its high-tech or anything,it looks more like a big metal glove.

So do you personally dont have IP or RP currently for him?
