If you lift Kass and Kai from their bios and even respective stories and replace them with literally anyone else, the story doesn't change. It's a sign of poor development. They have no quirks, no conflicts, no flaws and no life. They have NO character whatsoever. The bios describe stuff, not the character. Kai is a keyboard combo with tits, and that's about as interesting as she gets. "It's magic, we ain't gotta explain shit" is the cover for lack of depth of character. She could be conflicted and plagued by creeping madness. Nah. Kass could have just had his old JoJ story modernized. Nah. @riot is just content with stale NPC background character archetypes.

Kass is slowly and painfully dying from corruption by the void, and kai has spent most of her life away from humans, human interaction trying to survive a world attempting to cosume her, so they both probably have dissassociation problems and ptsd from their lifestyles. Pearsonality is kinda not needed for survival.

We don't need more insane deranged characters, jinx, singed, warwick, malz, the list goes on. Being trapped in a world full of monstrositys that want to kill you is unique to any league champ, kass survived and escaped the void, kai didnt

I'd like to think stale bread is one of the best characterized foods out there. Certainly more well developed than normal bread.

I'm seeing a lot of people trying to defend lack of character development as a point of merit, and you're simply wrong. When you exist in the clown fiesta of a world like League and a roster like it has, you CAN'T be boring. As a hero or a stand out character of note, when creating life for them you HAVE to make them larger than life. They need flaws or excessive personality to be notable. If you want the skills only on a bland model, why even make them a character?
