Soraka ,Aurelion and Immortality.
I've come across a sort of strange discrepancy amongst the League of Legends lore that had me confused.
Amongst Aurelion's lore and his quotes, Aurelion himself points out that his species is not immortal, just very, very long lived. Aurelion Sol dissipating into a Dragon Star constellation shows his kind does not live forever, albeit to what significance that constellation holds I don't know.
The discrepancy shows up when in Soraka Lore, it says; "A healer gifted with the magic of the stars, Soraka holds all living creatures close to her heart. She was once a celestial being, but she sacrificed her immortality and entered the world of mortals" Whether Soraka's sacrifice is in reference to saving Warwick, or whether it occured before he began hunting her is unclear.
The issues shows up that Soraka was a Celestial Being who was gifted the power to heal from the stars.
Why is it that the ones who created the stars were not immortal, and yet the supposed Star Child was? If Soraka was so powerful to be immortal, why would she need the power of the stars to heal others? Aurelion and his kind created the stars that Soraka is supposedly the child of, whether literally or metaphorically, it's safe to assume that his kind out lives her, or at least her powers.
I'm hoping with Warwick's new lore we see some sort of clarity on this issue. Whether they retconn Soraka and Wariwck's relation or adjust it slightly I'm still curious.
EDIT: I'm not an english Major, excuse any grammar or punctuation mistakes.
