I love how much power you've given Aurelian Sol

therealdragon··6 votes·7,634 views

You've made (from what I see so far), a full on dragon that can level mountains, level PLANETS, he's a galactic being that is able to change a galaxy with a swipe of his claw. He's literally the largest (second largest being malphite I believe), the most powerful (second most being bard I believe....universe powers), and the most beautifully designed space dragon/champ I've ever seen!

You've truly put the power that is befitting of a being that is known as a dragon (k maybe not space powers for every dragon but the best powers for a space dragon lol)

Well done to you riot well done! And he hasn't even been revealed yet!

Why do you like that Riot is power creeping the lore?

There can be no tension or excitement in Aurelion Sol's story. He's too powerful. And his presence weakens the strength of the other stories as well, considering how inconsequential he makes them.

its called plot armor. he is powerful enough to be defeated by the combined efforts of Pantheon Leona Diana and MAYBETaric (question mark?)

Bad writing is an explanation of the reason behind it, but it's not a justification. The opposite, in fact.

Well by that rule, every powerful endgame villain is boring That's clearly what he is. Endgame. Thanos, Galactus, Dormammu, Aurelion Sol

The former three are generally fought by characters who can feasibly pose a threat to them.

Aurelion Sol is billions of times more powerful than every other champion combined, except maybe Bard (another stupid addition, alongside Kindred), if everything in the new video is taken at face value.

He's basically superman now. There's no suspense when watching his battles because you know he's always holding back, and that if he used his full power it would all be over in literally less than half a second at most.

Still cool to get a dragon champ though.

He's an all-knowing god (or something of the sort) that usually does not interfere with the affairs of mortals. He just allows their presence to exist. He'll occasionally interfere here or there perhaps but if he killed everyone all the time, he'd have no one to watch fail.

I'd say imagine him as the goddess in Sinbad. Loving watching the mortals play their games but only interfering once in a while to cause chaos.

Aurelion Sol is many billions of times more powerful than all the Ascended, based on the cinematic.

I wasn't comparing them directly. I was making the point that theres A LOT of champions that are above most champions power levels lore wise. Who cares if the LEAGUE UNIVERSE has beings that can a lot do more than shoot a fancy gun?

Because before Aurelion Sol every champion still operated under terrestrial rules and limits. Xerath was very powerful, but not so much so that he could end every conflict in the setting with a wave of his hand, or make them meaningless.

Aurelion Sol can.

Aurelion Sol can.

It's all about how Riot writes him.

You could literally use this logic to say there should never be any high tier characters in any predominantly street level universe.

I actually feel the complete opposite OP. It requires too much suspension of disbelief to think that a simple champion like Gragas, Caitlyn or Fiora could ever face someone like Aurelion in a fair fight.

I just think its power thats truly befitting of a dragon lol. Not many dragons have power and are easily taken by spears or some type of projectile a couple of times.

Dragons have tough scales and cannot be taken down that easily. I know Sol isn't what I describe but he has the power thats befitting of "I can melt you and you will need real skill/power to defeat me".

That and his size. Can you tell I like dragons? lol. This post is made by a dragon-lover. Keep that in mind.

Also, chances are that Sol comes out of his god-like form to prove to these petty humans that he is as powerful as he says. Then as he assumes a mortal form, through skill he is defeated (though he can't actually be really killed just mortally killed).

To fight he is in a mortal form to teach these petty mortals how to REALLY fight. When he's not teaching or fighting though, he resumes his god form and watches the antics of the mortal world lol.

I'd assume he's on lower level of power because a great deal of it is sealed away under mount targon, you know the whole, he came to destroy the sun, and the aspects of nature (and a man-bear-falcon-turtle-tiger) sealed him, or atleast a fraction of his power under it to protect rune-terra, in which he starts to manage to get fragments of his power loose

lolipopevelynn1 votes

i said this already but the strongest is Illaoi God. sol would probably be equivalent or slightly above bard.

he is overlooked because illaoi is only capable of harnessing a fraction of his power, and and even doing that puts a huge strain on her body.

Provokist1 votes

well actually im not entirely sure, when Illaoi and Aurelion sol interact, her taunts her with bassically saying "Ive Met the real deal, you are nothing but a placemat to his door", essentially saying hes interacted with the god in some way, in all fairness, IF Aurelion Sol reobtained his sealed power from Mount Targon, he would be just as powerful as her god, but until then he will remain the Most powerful playable" champion. Lorewise however, I still do believe he WAS or Equal too the most powerful being.

But his play style and laning is crap. I played 2 games with him and I just feel like I wasted a LOT of time and money on this champion. He is so weak and easy to counter. I've never played a champ where I've been shut down so hard, so fast, so often, so much.
