A while back, riot would do art spotlights, showing off how the different splashes were made, this ended with kha'zix. As someone who is legitimately interested, would it be possible to bring that back? I'm an aspiring graphic artist, so that is helpful to watch.
Also, could a rioter explain what kind of equipment the art team uses? I'm curious on that part.

Every video could be a different topic.. Like according to the champ is how they determine their colors for backgrounds/ where they want the lights.. or What the thought process is behind a composition.. Even as you said take the newer splashes and dissect them.

This would be an interesting idea, and the riot team already does developer blogs, these could be a similar thing, but in video format. They shouldn't be tutorials, that's not what riot is, and you can look those up yourself, but having insight into what the goal was, and HOW the goal is reached, could give meaningful insight to the process.
