@KateyKhaos Is there a chance Riot might redo Old skins? (Karma)
Hello katey, just want to thank you in advance for reading this. Karma fan here. I think most of us were a bit disappointed, but not necessarily surprised, in her exclusion from the Star Guardian line. With Lunar Goddess being canceled, it seems Karma's missed out on many opportunities. I for one mainly play Karma in her default skin because her other skins are... lackluster. But, they don't have to be. Would Riot ever consider retouching Old skins?
Karma has two skin concepts (Sakura and Sun Goddess) that fit her character very well, and her overall theme perfectly. However, both of the skins suffer from... Various clunkiness that make them rather unappealing.
Sakura Karma works well with her aesthetic, but in game is very lackluster. Its splash art no longer resembles Karma (This is going to be fixed soon!), but most importantly, the skin doesn't actually seem to function as it should. Karma is in a flowing gown, but, unlike the light, airy material she wears in Order of the Lotus, her kimono sticks to her arms and legs and looks very unnatural as she moves. Her walk cycle, for instance, looks very robotic in this skin because of how Karma holds her arms, and the fabric looks very much glued to her legs.
If this skin redone with the technology we now have, making her gown feel light and breathable, I feel it could be a skin on par with Order of Lotus, excluding particles.
The addition of colored particle, also, might bring up Karma's now legacy skin, Sun Goddess. If her particles were a gold or orange, the skin would feel extremely unique and help deliver another fantasy, instead of simply Karma playing dress up.
I am curious if this solution might not be a good one for Karma players in the loo of waiting for a new skin.
