I Wish Rioters in the Narrative Department Would Actually Respond to Narrative Threads

It just feels like a cheap ploy that Rioters in the narrative department ignore threads for months, and then when we finally do get a red response in the story/art boards...it's from a Rioter who can't give any definitive answers because he isn't from the department that those boards are about.

While I appreciate the Rioters willing to post about the threads they know nothing about, it really makes Riot look bad that they aren't getting the people from the proper departments to respond to the proper threads.

How disorganized are they if they can't even get the proper employees to respond to the proper threads?

In the other thread you asked for any rioter and it's gone right. If you use the other rioter answers to bash Narrative Team (which I personally not want to be bashed, just to be "moved to elsewhere") the non-Narrative rioter will shy even more and feel bad about answering anything.

Even thought, I understand your point and give you reason. I wholeheartedly disagree from the proposal of "just care about the end results, not the internal issues" because when I see results that put me in despair it's obvious that I will begin to care about what went wrong, and I will push to call them out and make an intervention to correct those flawed things.

I, as a believer and theist, actually pray IRL for Ryze or Tryndamere showing up apologizing for the mess the lore of the game came to be, peaking in removing the League of Legends from the League of Legends, and revert the Great Retcon.

Even if the actual Narrative Team show up and bump all their work tomorrow; for what I saw since the Tommy Gnox post announcing the Retcon I couldn't manage to like anything of it, and that's why I ask: #What if we don't like the new content?

i really doubt there is a real narrative team anymore. They all seem to have left since the sion update.

I'm right there with ya. This board goes for months without a red post and when we get one its never narrative. "Improved communication"(tm)

You know what they say, be careful what you wish for.

I doubt if a Rioter from Narrative popped down here and talked to us that people would be any happier about it. People would ask them to revert the IoW retcon, to which they would say no. People would ask what they're doing to fix the lore, to which they would say they're working on it and can't give us details because it's in development stuff. People would tell them that they don't trust narrative to which they would reply that they know, and they'll work to improve things.

You guys want them to talk, but then you ask them why there's no lore, ignoring that things take time or that silence doesn't meant no one's listening on the other end. You're also forgetting at one point people on this board told them "Put up or shut up."

I'd rather they got their heads down and did stuff instead of wasting their time responding to threads like this one. If there's something they can add, something they can contribute with, great, come on down, only some of us will bite. Problem is people aren't asking questions they haven't already answered in some way, whether the response was liked or not. You Impetual ask the same questions week in and week out. Any response they can give you has been said before. Any answer they can give to you has been exhausted by this point. It's gotten to the point where it feels like you're using other rioters as ammunition to fire shots at Narrative. Regardless of whatever Narrative has done, or needs to do, or what they're supposed to do, you won't get anywhere with this.

They must be in a complete mess (which they trying to clean) & very hard at work on the lore if they can't even comment in threads..................well,that's the optimistic & hopeful view.There is also the pessimistic & doubtful view of what they maybe really doing.

I'm convinced there is no lore team. I think they just ask interns to write the least compelling stories they can think of.

How can they even come when all I see is people bitching about the lore, that aint welcoming to anybody. If they want to come by, be nice. Also, the lore change will take some time but after Bard, its getting pretty clear what they are trying to do with the world (that actually is shaping out to have some chronology now with Freljord tribes->fall of Shurima->Death of the Isles->Kalamanda incident which made Jarvan IV imprisoned by Swain)

It seems they have a lot of internal stuff to sort out. Things sometimes turn out bad even with the best of intentions. Whatever is going on is in all likelihood responsible for the narrative team having a hard time delivering content. (Besides other content narrative Rioters help with, like champion releases, which has been excellent.)

They are obviously trying to fix things. It might be frustrating, but there's literally nothing else to do than to wait until they got things figured out. If people feel like they need to complain while they do, they should do so. Myself being very happy with the content that has come out this year I'm still hopeful they'll get things straightened out in a not too far off future.

I would like to think there is a narrative team still, but they're looking for a Senior Narrative Designer. It's going to take some time, but my ambition is a cannon, and Sr. Narrative Designer is my target >:]
