The lethality of Tristana's cannon

I recently read The Whispering Doodad and I recall the pretty hectic fight scene in it. It seems Tristana's gun gave a lot of nasty hits to her enemies, but it didn't actually seem very lethal. Even her heaviest shot only sent Tamara flying, rather than actually killing her, it seems. Enough to knock her out of commission for awhile, but nothing deadly.

This makes me ask: Does Tristana's gun actually have the capacity to kill people? I know Teemo is a cold blooded killer and all of that, but it seems Tristana just bops the bad guys, rather than killing them.

I believe it could reasonably kill people, yes. I also semi believe that it functions more on magic than real gun powder, giving her a level of control. Its the only thing that realistically(ha) makes sense; otherwise, she would spend 90% of her time just reloading the thing. No, I believe as a magical being, her cannon fires more off magic, thereby allowing her more precise control over it.

Or that Riot's writers started just copying the game mechanics/abilities without regard for any decent storytelling (See: Wedding Crash, where every word Jinx says is verbatim from her voice over.) Her R is a knockback so they wrote her pressing R on an NPC in a comical fashion. EPIC So funny!!!!

probably powered by the magic put into it. Boomer seems to be a uniquely yordle made weapon. so unlike, say, kled and his axe and gun, its lethality is tied to how she wants it to be (as someone who guards bandle city pathways, do you REALLY want to be known as a mysterious figure blowing people to smithereens?)

Tristanas Cannon is able to kill People, yes. Even if you target limbs, they will find them missing.

Imagine that cannon fully loaded, it could send her into the stratosphere.
