Just my curious that how could they started the work such early considering Galio just released this month? Ok the team could finish working on him before March but is shouldn't be earlier than Feb? Did Reav3 included Exploration stage in 4 months too?
He's including what you call Exploration stage, aka pre-production, aka the Core Pod, aka the DNA pod. Wow, we have too many terms for this... but it's when a designer, artist, and writer get together and start planning the new version of the champion. While JohnODyin and LoneWingy were wrapping up work on Galio, they also started working on Evelynn.
We have "exploration" teams that start work on potential future VGU's that start WAY earlier then the main production team. This consists of a Writer,Designer, artists and producer. This is the point when a project can easily be canceled or "ice boxed" so we don't talk about it until we are sure we have a solid core to go into full production with.
For example, while we have Urgot and Evelynn in full production now, we have 2 exploration teams working on whats next after Evelynn & Urgot.

As long as she doesn't have tentacles I'll (probably) be okay with her.
