Reav3 Could you give us top ten of a requested for a VGU list in incoming Dev Blog?

For those who have not known before. This list is the biggest factor (but not only one) to determine which champ should brought on the table for rework. Currently we know only 4 of it.

Yorick
Galio
Evelyn
Urgot (source: hhttp://www.surrenderat20.net/2016/08/red-post-collection-leblanc-update.html)

I think Warwick is surely one in this list (maybe number 5 or 6) so there are only 5 we haven't known yet. Reav3 could the team give us the rest?

A bit too late on that as the DevBLog is currently being localized. I likely wouldn't add that list anyway even if it wasn't though.

The reason being that the list is constantly changing and I'm sot sure how useful it would be to post what the list is at any given moment in time. The Devblog would likely be referenced in the future, much like you have referenced my old post as the definitive list, even though it isn't.

For example, the list currently looks like this today:

Yorick
Urgot
Nunu
Warwick
Galio
Singed
Evelynn

It will likely look very different a month from now. This is why we generally look at trends overtime rather then what the list is at one particular point in time. When talking about updates we usually talk about the top 10-15 that appear in the top #10 a lot.

EDIT: Just to clarify in case people don't read the post this thread is referring to. This is the ever changing list of champions players think need a VGU the most based on our survey data we periodically send out to players.

What are the top 5 trends for updates currently? Also why are Singed, Yorick, and Warwick included when they've either been updated or are being updated (Singed had a Visual Update in 2014 and is niche)?

I took it a different way. I still get a year or more of playing Panth as I like him before he gets changed to something I may not like.

He's still very high on the list, according to Reav3.

I know this. But lets be real. It is highly unlikely he is passing anyone on that list. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

DwarvenGiant has a point. It all depends on how much Riot is changing the game, and if the changes poses a negative effect on said champions, it needs to be updated.

Pantheon's fine the way he is... for now. Like Reav3 said, the list is constantly changing, so there's a chance that Pantheon might make it up in the higher list if his kit becomes as outdated as Warwick and Urgot.

I thank you for your answer and the list. I'm very surprised even given a visual update back in 2014 players still want Singed to be reworked more than Panth and Swain.

Aye but that's the Ryze team working on him, not the Yorick team. We still have yet to learn who the Yorick team's going to focus on next, though my money's on Urgot.

As for as the team that worked on Yorick goes, I agree Urgot's propably the best bet... But I'm hoping for Galio or Morde

Personally I'd like to see Nunu or Galio reworked next (after Warwick). Their kits are really weird (Nunu has a PVE only ability. It's weird).

I have a feeling Skarner is on this list somewhere towards the lower top 10. Many of his mains are pretty annoyed with how all his past reworks just didnt get executed well and Reav3 has stated he is now on the VGU list.

I'd think Morde as well for the same reason. Let's take a champion rework him so he can no longer really do his old role, force him to do something untested and realize to make that work he needed to be overpowered then nerf him to the ground. I feel for the old Morde mains, I really do.

Why do we need to know more than these few? Unless they approach reworks with the same philosophy as new champs (i.e. trying to hit all roles fairly equally), we can pretty much expect Galio and Evelynn next year unless they opt for Urgot instead of Galio since they haven't given a VGU to a marksman since Sivir.

Well its not like those 3(not counting yorick since he is getting his rework) are the only possibilities. I mean warwick is getting his rework next despite the fact that he isn't in the top 4 of requested champions.

And there is always the possibility that they'll rework someone else first anyway,for example they originally planned to update urgot before yorick,but then chose yorick because urgot proved to be problematic in the early stages of the rework.

Well those are likely the result of the update team doing some early testings on urgots;)

To the point about Ryze, he was a special case. They'd stated that he had already had partial work done last year, which included a completed model, before he got iceboxed for other work. So all they had to do on him was work out his animations and kit.

Tristana and Twitch have receive VGU after Sivir, and technically Miss Fortune too but she didn't get a new VO.

Warwick is currently being worked on, and since Yorick is almost finished (PBE), his team is probably transitioned to the next update. Current community speculation points to Urgot Galio Evelynn as the next major 3 options.

We also have to keep in mind the Roster Update team is working on Assassins. The candidates getting larger work are Katarina Leblanc Rengar Talon . There will also be some smaller scope work on other assassins, but we do not know who that will be yet. Community speculation points to Fizz Khazix . When going over other Assassin candidates, it was pointed out that there will be some work done to the Stealth system and Akali Evelynn Shaco need VGUs instead of being part of the Roster Update.

Other champions farther down the list for VGUs probably include Chogath Irelia DrMundo Kayle Mordekaiser Aatrox .

We can also count on a Roster Update next mid-season probably, which is going to most likely focus on Divers or Tanks.

Hmm I don't think Aatrox and Kayle would get to the list soon. Especially Aatrox. not before Swain At least his model isn't outdated and he has a lot of skins.

Aatrox wouldn't be on the VGU he would be most likely be on a class update, diving fighter which would only affect the Gameplay and not the Visual. Also a rioter mention that Shen is also up for a rework but only if they decide to tackle Tank subclass; Warden in one of their class update.
