With the new champion we are introduced to a new Darkin: Rhaast I immediately got hyped because he will be the second Darkin featured in the game (the first one being of course Aatrox) i noticed something though... his name has an "aa" just like "Aa"trox. Could this mean that all Darkins have double "a" on their names? Pure speculation. 3 Darkins left to go :D

HexaDecimel5 votesI feel like Darkin are either trapped or possess different weapons. And in turn try to corrupt the wielder. We have the Darkin Aatrox which represents the blade. We have the Darkin Rhaast which represents the Scythe. And I am willing to bet that Varus is partially corrupted by a Darkin which is in his bow.
All three are at various stages and some have been able to resist more then others. Aatrox appears to have completely taken over the host. Kayn seems to be at a midpoint where he is still struggling for control with Rhaast. And Varus seems to slowly be taken over by whatever Darkin has him.
I am hoping that along with changes to Aatrox and the New Champion we also get an update to Varus. I really hope he has a Darkin and that we can get a name. As well as a sweet update to the lore.

If anything I would have posited that the connection to death and war for Rhaast and Aatrox is more how they just like to go about destroying things in; Rhaast just liking to kill and wreck stuff while Aatrox likes to do so via the medium of large scale conflict and battle.
That's only my theory of course; as far as I know the darkin weren't made with the four horsemen in mind. Neat references are just that; neat.
