Even a team of comic writers usually take a month for a 20 page issue, hoping for one every two weeks is a little unrealistic. Though they could pick times to release waves of comics in short periods though, it'd just take some prep time.

Yes, it's totally make sense, but will Riot actually do it is what I'm worried about. I'm just a little doubtful when "Riot" & "having consistent lore releases" are in the same sentence. Until I get 100% confirmation from Riot saying, "Yes, we're release lore comics on a regular basis", I'll likely remain doubtful. For all we know, they already had a set of comics prepared & are now releasing them. But once they're down with that set, there won't be anymore comics for a while.

However, I have the feeling that atleast the Watchers from Freljord won't be Voidbornes. The transformation to an Iceborn is different than being corrupted by the Void.

On one hand I agree and would rather them take tiny bit of inspiration from Cthulu and give Abyss some kind of god that mates with non-abyss fishes and creates army of horror creatures... On the other hand: Void having rifts all over Runeterra and not just one in Shurima gives their lore more potential so that these are some naturally occuring cracks rather than one phenomenon.

The void is a world threat. Having the dark be some separate force that only affects Nami is kind of lame.

The thing is open to any possibility:

We still don't have a proper timeline of pre-Shurima times and thus is hard to put Targonians anywhere, plus Solari and Lunari where at least ppl led by targon aspects and might have been Targonians them all.

Freljord aren't sailors but they are more about tribes (as Nami story calls the ppl of the earthwalker, but that might be because Marai live in tribes too) and the look of the ship is viking-like (but that might be my misconception as also Greek-like ships share some shapes or the look of the ship might have no meaning at all).

The Blessed Isles hypothesis is indeed a good one too but I'd exclude them as they seemed more about collecting any item of power rather than trading them, plus I don't see them needing to defend their homeland (unless the tale tooks place after the Ruination).

well we humans also have different hair styles and wear different clothing. Meanwhile the marai all seem to have this yellowish hair and have the same scales.

The marai are a shapeshifting race,so i hoped for them to be more diverse than humans. I mean just imagine marai where each and everyone has diffeently colored scales and who have attributes of different fish,like a shark marai or an anglerfish marai(or heck maybe even ones whose lowerparts mimic other sea animals like octopi or whales)

Even worse is the fact that with the way the marai look like in the comic,it is rather likely that we'll never get another one of them as a champ unless it is some sort of mutant,as they'd look too similar to Nami ingame.

Hmm Nautilus is a truly fascinating case. My guess is that he's not really the dude who once was left and forgotten, but rather some sort of confused and yet autonomous echo of that man. Nautilus lore is connected as well to the Dark Mist - or at least what appears to be the underwater version of it - as to the abyssal depths. Now, I think one can say with certainty that getting affected by one of these is not really healthy, so I am not sure what both of them at once may cause.

If you know the old Nintendo title Metroid: Fusion, then you know that "echo" scenario. Samus got infected by a parasite, and they had to literally cut he rout of her biomechanical armor. However, that parasite lives by creating a copy of the host it infected to inflitrate and spread even more. So the removed armor-parts re-assembled around something that might be a very disorted version of a human being - a twisted creature, equipped with the strongest firepower Samus had ever at her disposal. It makes for a quite scary antagonist, at least that I can tell you.

Is Nautilus still alive? I don't know, but I doubt it. No one knows what the thing inside the suit is, maybe not even itself. It might have fragments of memories and emotions, or just copies of it, and act according to them, but even that is not sure.
