Kai'Sa would be improved if she couldn't take off the mask.

The voice filter turns the bland, flat lines into something that sounds like it's being said by a person who has been ravaged by the void.

When her face is covered by the void mask, she looks like a humanoid voidspawn, or some kind of void symbiote instead of Zero-suit Kerrigan

Her 'Don't be afraid of me, I'm on your side' line makes a lot more sense with the helmet on.

Yeah, the full-suited Kai'Sa feels better. I almost think it would have been better to have her helmet on in the splash and in-game, leaving her actual appearance up to the imagination. THEN it would have been way more interesting when its like "oh she's not terrifying underneath" and you're intrigued instead of confused. Sure, it would still have problems, but her initial character would be presented as something inherently scary and her lines of "don't be afraid of my appearance" would actually make sense. It's like, ok, be afraid of what? Pretty grills?

Same idea with her voice filter. Not really all that different, it's the same lines and delivery just through a filter, but the filter does a lot of work to make her sound abnormal at the very least.

But think of all the dank memes.

I don't see the problem with giving players choice, but I guess there's always something to complain about with Kai'Sa
