Hey, riot! I am here to talk about olaf . No, not his really bad dual-wielding that is absolutely absurd. But that he is supposed to look like a fckin viking, why make him look like a fckin retard? [zombie-brand-mindblown] Oh, you dont understand what I am talking about? Well, let me tell you. First of all; VIKINGS NEVER HAD HORNS ON THEIR HELMETS!! And even of you remove them from olaf's helmet, it still doesent look like a viking helmet! [zombie-brand-clap] In fact: the only thing that olaf has that reminds of a viking must be his beard -and nothing else! [slayer-pantheon-rainbows] I dont say this because I dont like fantasy and stuff, I say this because it looks fckin terrible! Look! LOOK AT IT If you compare olaf's textures With how a viking is supposed to look, you cant see the similarity at all.

Well, here is what Riot should do: GIVE HIM A REAL HELMET AND A CHAINMAIL! or at least som hard leather clothing. is it so hard? Vikings in Runeterra have helmets with horns, deal with it.

Craftdefender, I actually understand where you're coming from. If they released some historically more accurate skins of Olaf, or Pantheon, or hell even Xin Zhao could use a touch up with that silly spear design. That'd be awesome. Or a champion who has a Roman Legionnaire look? New main, right there.

But really, Riot's not going to ever go for historical accuracy, or any accuracy. Just look at Garen's armor. Look at it. It is so ridiculously stupid. His pauldrons should crush his spine. Jarvan? That is the most over-designed piece of useless armor I have seen in years. Even Kayle, who originally had a fairly decent armor design, all things considered, was redesigned and given a fucking boob plate and an exposed stomach. It's like they don't have a damn clue how any of it works, like they've never studied an ancient culture, or the interaction of armor, or anything.

And that's because they probably haven't. Pantheon isn't really a Spartan, he's a character designed to cash in on the popularity of the 300 movie. Olaf isn't really a viking, he's designed to look like what your average idiot thinks a viking would look like. And it accomplishes that. Your average idiot thinks that vikings had horns on their helmet, that wielding two small axes instead of the far more useful and common shield and spear combo was something they would actually do, that going berserk was more than a vague ritual and actually turned them into some wild Cu Chulainn figure, not realizing that's an Irish tradition.

Riot's not about being historically accurate, and it never has been. And while it'd be fun and would amuse me to insult just how bad their champion designs actually are to people who know how armor works and why various equipment were used together, it won't actually accomplish anything. Because Riot doesn't care. They want money, and to make a fun game. I don't think enough folk would shell out money for realistic designed champions, at least not enough to be profitable. Especially when compared to the money maker the cyberpunk skins are. Now, personally, I don't give a shit about cyberpunk, but it's popular so Riot will keep making those skins. Because that's how you make a business succeed.

Yeah Olaf reminds me of those early stages playing a Norn in Skyrim. Which is meant to be a fantasy interpretation (that's the key word here folks) of Vikings. I mean movie Thor and co. look nothing like the IRL Vikings, why is that? Well that cause he's loosley based of the culture.

But hell, here's to hoping Olaf gets a VU that pleases OP.
