Animated league?

So, we've been seeing a lot of animation for new champions. Particularly that last Bard one which I believe used the same animators as Legend of Korra (someone can back me up on this).

Is there any chance of a full on animated series in the future?

I mean it's definitely a possibility. It wouldn't be that hard to keep summoners in it either. Just make it game of thrones style where instead of god-like beings they are just very powerful sorcerers and Runeterra is a hot spot for that multiverses magical energies. That would also explain why other dimensional entities are so interested in it (like the Darkins, Watchers, and Void-kin).

For example, maybe all these powerful summoners come from noble households using their sway and authority to get champions to battle for them. Either by promising wealth and fame or through trade. The nexus is basically where they house their magical power, but are also tied to it and essentially is why champions are always being sent to try to destroy some summoners nexus.

And why summoners rift, tree line, howling abyss? They would be the biggest focus of magical energies that these summoners want to control.

Anyways, just throwing out some ideas there.
