I'm still waiting for that new Anivia splash art that was teased a couple months ago. Tired of looking at her current clay modeled splash art.

Same with the Warwick one. They teased them off at worlds and still nothing :(

Though I feel a lot of the hold up is from people whining about some of the other splashes (i.e. Ahri, Wukong, ect) that they had to go back over and modify.

Except Wukong's was fixed with the update, and they made Ahri's worse.

This is looking nice so far though. I want to see what the full picture looks like.

Educated guess, an LCS match. Riot is always showing splash arts that are either still on the PBE or haven't made it to the PBE yet.

You would be correct! At worlds we also saw Anivia, Warwick, Graves, Maokai and at least one more new splash.

Wait, why would Maokai need a new splash, he just got his updated with his VU. Unless it's for one of his skins. Anivia and Warwick need their splashes updated.

She needs a new model more. I can bear looking at her splash while loading in, but in game she looks like she is made from spray painted styrofoam.

Riot continues to persist in believing that wings are made of rubber and are not important in generating lift for characters who have them.

Even Galio's wings are bendy and stretchy, like there's no bones inside them, DESPITE HAVING VISIBLE BONES due to his batlike wings.

Kayle is even worse, in my opinion.

And why don't Swain or Shyvana ever fly?

shyvana is only half dragon and her wings look like that of a ground dragon in all honesty. Swains wings are proportionate to a birds and birds wings are hollow so they would not be able to carry his human weight with bird(raven) wings

She had a new splash that got "leaked" at Worlds, but they never released it. Warwick's is still tucked away somewhere too.

They did the same thing with Maokai, but they didn't reveal his new splash until around the time he got a model update.

Most of Riot's changes to basic splash arts have been fairly pleasing upgrades to look at. Graves Urgot JarvanIV Zilean all come to mind for me. This one looks no different. Can't wait to see the full piece.

Kind of reminds me of Xiangua (likely butchered the name) from Soul Calibur in a way.

My theory is that Zelos is already in the League. Where Irelia was the Will of the Blades, Zelos (who was less of a disappointment to his father) must be nothing short of the Master of Metal! Mordekaiser Poor Zelos.

But if I'm wrong about him, then I'd love to learn more about Zelos.

On the topic of the Irelia splash: It looks good, but it's weird to me that her hair color is changing. I'll probably play mostly with Nightblade Irelia anyway, unless the updated splash comes with new ingame graphics (as happened with Alistar, but not with all champions who get updated splash art).
