Why give Ahri/MF SG skins when they don't fit the theme

While Taliyah was right here?

Because this year's Star guardians are a veteran team that has seen battle. Team lux is a cadet team, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Taliyah would go to team lux not ahri.

It goes beyond that, as a team, the new SG would be completely dysfunctional. Ahri acts like a bitch, and no one wants to be led by a bitch, MF is really independent and so is Syndra. I think Syndra should've gotten the legendary-tier skin in order to shape her personality around her role as a SG so her presence actually make sense, while MF and Ahri should've been scrapped from the skin line to give their roles to more deserving champions such as Taliyah, Taric, Sona, or Annie...

Being more older and experienced doesn't necessarily mean acting like 14 years old who are "ugh omg so done" with everything, rather more like an actually nice, wise and helpful person who doesn't give attitude to younger recruits for being in a pinch.

They're not adult older, in this skin line. They're "we're seniors" older. I'm not sure about you, but bitches ruled cliques in my high school.

Syndra wasn't even originally part of team ahri, syndra's team all died and she was the only survivor. So she's all dark and fallen now because of it. The Star guardians just pushed her into team ahri because they had an opening. Ezreal is the new cocky kid on the block. Soraka is the voice of reason, the one nice girl who sits with the bitches either because they were old friends or because they want to be popular too.

Taric is less likely to get a star guardian skin because of his build. He's broad shouldered and heroic in a western sense, while riot explained they chose extra because his slender body type was reminiscent of boys in magical girl anime. That body type is common in eastern manga and anime, off which the line is based. Particularly star driver and Earth defense club.

Sona was more of the same. They said they wanted to highlight each individual in this set so they looked for different personalities. She'll probably get one next year

Annie barely had a personality at this point. They can't decide whether she is inherently malicious or not. Leading up to all kinds of head Canon.

Does Taliyah only fit better because she's a teenager?

Because of her personality.

MF's personality doesn't fit the magical girl theme, neither did Ahri but somehow they managed to make it ten times worse with her new lines.

Taliyah also has been waiting for a skin for a while now.

MF's personality doesn't fit I agree, but that's only if we're looking at them as schoolgirls.

They aren't. If anything, they are senior star guardians (like if Lux and Jinx were freshmen, MF and Ahri are seniors) and Ahri expresses this through her experience inflated ego.

Ezreal is probably a new recruit to the vet team.

If they wanted to introduce SG that are new to the job, Taliyah's personality would fit. But it looks like they went for the more experienced route.

How many magical girl anime have you seen? They aren't all sunshine and rainbows, and a lot of the more recent ones are really dark and downright disturbing. MF and Ahri fit the disillusioned veteran role pretty well.

I know. Cutie Honey, Tokyo Mew Mew, Excel Saga/Puni Puni Poemii, Utena, Precure, Genei wo Kakeru Taiyou, Madoka, Princess Tutu, Houkago no Pleiades, Ojomajo Doremi, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Flip Flappers, Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku, Mermaid Melody, 6HP... That is a crap ton, and that's exactly why I know that their personalities aren't fitting.

MF is basically Calamity Mary, and Ahri is definitely fitting, but a bit more unique.

The thing with Calamity Mary is that she acts solo, I honestly wouldn't have had a problem with SG MF if she was independent. Besides Soraka and Ezreal, the new members of the SG don't act like they would be fine with cooperating with other people as a team, and seem like they would be insufferable to cooperate with as well.

It's called, "Teeth clenched teamwork"

They probably don't have much of a choice, Syndra was assigned to their team after hers died, so I think the only way you get out of your team is if they die. And even then you just get reassigned.

Partly, yes. Taliyah also has the similar good nature of the past Star Guardians. I'm not sure how to word it, but I feel that she would've fit very well with the first team. Although, not too well with Horizon (whatever the new team is).

I honestly would've loved Taliyah over Miss Fortune, but they pulled Ahri and MF off very well.

Honestly hope the next MF skin gives her a new VO. Because I'm tired of hearing really outdated lines on all of her skins.
