Prefacing this with: I know he is not on the list for a VGU any time soon, that's fine - but he is an older champ and will get a VU/VGU someday in the future.
Would people prefer he "stayed the same" as in a visual update similar to Poppy's/WW/Taric where the champion is essentially an upgraded version of its past self. Or something akin to a Galio visual update where he was more or less completely changed.
I feel like his current look works well enough to not need a huge makeover. I mean hell, if he can work in a cinematic with his current design, said design can work if just visually updated, rather than completely overhauled.
I'm going to be downvoted for this, because people on this site can't handle the thought of change to their beloved LoL, but I find Blitz's current look to be bland. It's too typically steampunk, with no distinguishing features to separate it from the Iron Giant and similar robo-golem characters in fiction. Riot has gradually moved away from stereotypical designs toward more unique aesthetics for their champions, and I'd like the same to be done with Blitz. Make him less typical, more distinctive. Also, make him look more practical; his arms are too big and his legs are too small, to such a point that he looks ridiculous when he walks, and by all measures shouldn't even be able to keep his balance. His design just doesn't seem practical enough to have been created by someone like Viktor. I'd like something a little less simplistic and cartoony, and a little more intricate and plausible.
He was in the Climb cinematic so his current look works if modernized so I'll go with upgrade.
If they replaced his old model with the one from 'The climb' video I'll be able to rest in peace. Also an actual robotic movement/enviroment interactioms which Blotz had in the video as well, not some penguin walk that made Lancer skins into epoc rather than Legendary...
The only thing about him I'm not big on is his giant torso perched atop those itty bitty legs. Dude skipped every leg day of his entire existence and I'm not sure how he can support his body.
Yeah, Blitz's current appearance is memorable and not awfully janky to preserve. It should stay.
The hipsters complained about the changes to Yorick, so they'll complain about any changes to Blitz as well.
