Pyke and Brand Theory

Tl: Dr version: Pyke might have been revived by a World Rune, and is now being consumed by the spirit in it, much like Brand, getting consumed by the Rune he found.

Long version: Oh, good, you stuck around.

  1. Let's begin then. Brand's lore says that the spirit itself has sweared "revenge for wrongs he could never possibly have suffered in a dozen mortal lifetimes.", meaning he blames basically the entire world for some reason and want to kill everyone. Sounds familiar?

Moreover, Brand has some lines that I found inresting: "This body is just one of many!" - Meaning he already had other hosts, and a lot of them too. This line also helped me figure what was going on. Both lores feature some sort of light sources, in Brand's lore we see that the lights point him toward the Rune, while in Pyke's lore they watch him inside of the Jaull fish's mouth. This lights are actually the formar hosts of Brand and the spirit that took over Pyke, luring them into the trap. "Some say the world will end in fire."- and some say the world will be drowned, like Pyke.

"But how did the World Rune got stuck in the middle of the ocean, near Bilgewater?" Well, my guess is it was used in the Rune Wars, by an unknown or fotgotten people, however they were defeated in the fight, and the area began to crumble and sink into the ocean. However, since the rune is a water type rune, (which granted Pyke his water abillities, and made him full of water, like Brand being fully fire), the rune actually helped and protected the place while it was going down, and so the entire place was sinking but still intact, while the people living there may or may not have survived the fall. The rune also made someone there a host of the spirit that's in the rune. The name of that place may have been erased from the history of the world, however we do know one nickname it's known for. Pyke is the one to inform and give us that nickname. The Swimming City. I know, it's a really weak theory, but you gotta give my some points for creativity.

Cool theory and goob job on the time and afford you put into this but Riot confirmed that some "masters" control Pyke. That means some beings of some kind which kinda means its not an object such as a rune

I'm not sure if World Runes hold the power within them to resurrect the dead.

They're able to blow entire cities to kingdom fuck but as far as I know, Necromancy is relegated to the Shadow Isles.

Pyke was not resurrected by Nagakabouros or the Shadow Isles Black Mist. He was resurrected by the magic of the Jaull fish https://old.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/8ojeqo/were_some_of_the_rioters_that_created_pyke_ask_us/e042odq/?context=3

I was thinking of brand as a more ancient planetary elemental with multiple reincarnations who was meant to work together with other planetary elementals to protect the world from an ancient common enemy , Kind of like the DC Universe I read sometime ago . But of course the elementals’s polar opposites Aggravate one another and most of then have forgotten that they should be protecting the world instead of bickering amongst one another and/or have warped ideas now on how to “save the world” in their own way such as Lissandra wantig to have the world reborn in ice or brand possibly being betrayed and wanting to burn everything to start the planet anew like it was when it was first born in lava and pyke possibly being a reincarnation of a water elemental. I also believe they did not gain their powers from world runes but the rune were made to copy their powers from their very first incarnations. I have more to say but im on the toilet atm and I just finished so yea, bye.
