This is a cruel joke, right????!! Ivern is the last champion I would have put in this theme. I don't often hate skins but dear God why did this happen? Illaoi didn't get this theme cause you said she needed something serious for her first post release, and then you go and give it to Ivern?? He has a candy king skin that's in no way serious, so why is his second skin also in a less serious theme? Plus it's just unfitting.

It is actually comical how hideous this skin is. You can really tell this skin was just developed and released as quickly as possible to get Ivern one more skin so that they can ignore him for another 5 years.

Honestly I feel betrayed... I'm totally fine with the fact that Ivern is an unpopular champ so it makes sense that it took a decade for him to get his first skin after the release skin, but srsly... I mean SRSLY???

I'm a Ivern onetrick with over 1 million mastery points on him and I was totally looking forward for his skin, but there is no way I would buy Dunkmaster Ivern! It has nothing to do with his theme and doesnt even fit his playstyle or anything that would be an argument for it. Dunkmaster Ivern is the same as Sewn Chaos Amumu in my opinion and it's hard to believe that this skin will sell anyway decent. There is only a small amount of Ivern players and even from a lot of them I only got a respond like "this skin sucks so hard riot must be kidding" or "well nothing we can do here, guess we have to wait until season 13 or so before we get an decent Ivern skin".

If Riot really pulls it off and releases Dunkmaster Ivern I'm speechless. They actually managed to tear the heart of an Ivern player apart

I just want to know why. Ivern is probably the last - THE LAST - champion I would have given a sports themed skin to, especially as his FIRST NEW SKIN EVER. There have been tons of great ideas for him, like Day of the Dead, Haunted, and so many more, and they chose a sports theme for the Bob Ross of the game. Hell, I would have preferred a Bob Ross skin to this. It's just so bizarre and out of left field that it's not even playing the same game.

I do not like this skin. Not because I’m part of the “Ivern needs a serious evil skin” gang, but because it makes no sense on Ivern. He has exactly zero dunk moves (unless you count Daisy third hit which I’m sure will be Riot’s excuse) and literally nothing about his kit says basketball.

All that said, it’s still a bad skin because it’s literally just orange Ivern in a basketball outfit with a few new particles. It reminds me of a 2011 skin, just a random costume change and a new particle set. This makes less sense than fucking Fiddle Me Timbers.

Riot needs to pull this shit like they did with Sewn Chaos and then give us a real Ivern skin.

The skin looks pretty ugly. The splash can't do magic to fix a really bad model. The VFX is fine but god the model is absurdly ugly. It's not interesting, it's a skin you'd maybe get if you main Ivern and want all of his (two haha) skins. The theme would fit much better a wide range of other champions and we all know that this moment, same as with Aurelion Sol, means we're not getting another skin for a long time.

They lost the chance of giving him a snow related skin, lost the chance of a Halloween themed, and now lost the chance of not releasing a skin that pleases maybe 15% of the community.

the weirdest part about this is, that not only is it the most unfitting theme you could come up with for ivern, but also dunkmaster jarvan would have been a perfect fit.

for bonus points, ivern could have very well sported a hextech skin, if it wasnt made to be a gemstone exclusive.

this is why i still suspect this is an april fools joke.

I don't understand what is going on with Riot's creative team lately lol, especially when it comes to champs with a small fan base pool. There are so many ideas for a new Ivern skin and they ignore all of them? For a ugly Basketball skin that doesn't fit the Champ? And you could say yea it's a popular skin line but you know what else is? Elderwood. They have done SO many champions wrong in the past 8 months? It's getting kind of ridiculous.

Riot could have easily just ask the Ivern mains what they wanted, and take inspiration from the many amazing concepts that already exist for Ivern.

Yet they do something nobody asked and is completely awful.
