Those ability icons look great. Ability icons are surely the easiest thing to update on a character, so should be done often.

Please be Pantheon... The champion's playstyle is so plain and lack sufficient counter play. Honestly, how are you supposed to stop a click target stun and a kit capable of one shotting you depending on how few he is. The only way to escape this is by having the right champion to completely negate his kit or to build cc removal items and pray it's up often enough to save you.

I'm almost lead to believe the opposite. If you're going to give a champion a VGU relatively soon, why would you bother updating his current icons?

True. If they were doing a VGU they'd update the icons and such for the new abilities and not bother giving them icons for their current abilities. All of these are clearly just their current kits and nothing really new, so they've probably started work on someone else.

Its not off the table. Riot has updated champs abilities/ splash art for VGUs before when they just got updated not too long ago. Icons are pretty simple to update and if anything updating them will help them figure out the style they want for any Icons they update later.

yeah. keep in mind even if nunu is picked to be updated after Irelia, the rework would be around 9 months away. In the past Aatrox got its kit updated even though he was scheduled for a larger rework

It is, but it still doesn't really show off the idea of "this ability makes a clone" very well. A simple picture of wukong standing there with a stealthed version of him running off to the side would work better then that.
