Viktor's relationship to the Glorious Evolved and the Grey Lady remains to be seen, and while it casts the future of his morality and psyche into doubt.....

.....what doesn't remain to be seen and does not lay casted into doubt is the fact that The Weakest Heart is prime storytelling, right up there with the Skarner lore in terms of sheer beauty and emotional depth. From a writer to a writer, a massive congratulations to the Riot story team for developing such a masterpiece. Thank you.

Actually, a Rioter has stated that the Gloriously Evolved are connected to Viktor...its just they use the more miracle side of his ideas for their own, rather than the scientific side (aka misinterpreting his goals to a degree).

I just think it's funny because I went into one of those threads talking about how Viktor could be a sort of unwilling participant or not even be fully involved outside of just kind of passively accepting them, and people were still losing their minds. Like, let the lore people do their jobs! It's a great story stop focusing on random things!

People are losing their minds because the lore team has shown that it has no care about champions or their origins and will retcon everything if they want.

I mean, do you think Marvel really considers their fans when they do retcons or change universes? Only so far as "we have less fans now and need to drum up some new interest".

but I think crying "YOU'VE RUINED HIS LORE" in a story that isn't even about him or from his perspective at all is a little much.

Yea, they have a right, does not mean it is right.

Also, Marvel and DC have multiple multiverses that do not require retcons, and people dislike the retcons there too. Just because a company is doing shitty things does not mean everyone else should.

Also Jayces story was not about Viktor either, but we know how that shitshow turne out, so it does not matter if the story is from his perspective or is it directly about him, because stories can be intertwined.

And after the shitshow that was targon, i do not trust the lore team one bit....

Your opinions on the Targon lore do not make any indication of the lore team's talent. It's your own problem you dislike the lore team because they went in a direction that you didn't want. They don't have to bend to your wishes.

It is one thing to choose a direction, it is entirely another to retcon something out of existance and replace it, instead of crafting a story out of what you have already. Retcon is the tool for the lazy writer.

No, that is being lazy. You do not paint yourself into a corner, ever, there is always a way out. Riot were the ones that retconed the old lore instead of changing it or upgrading it, despite capabilities of doing so.

I have not read the story yet, but as they are developing Victor I am assuming in lore base, its actually building lore, before hand he only had a champion blurb.

I love the stories, people not always will, but its their lore, their champion, their game, I think its amazing that they are developing it this much!
