Do you guys think that Soulstealer Vayne is worth the $300 you will have to spend on gems to get it (since the chances of getting it in a random drop are astronomically low. If so, why or why not?

You don't have to spend that much money. You don't have to spend anything. Either way, Riot did note that there would be future opportunities to get gemstones in guaranteed ways. I think they mentioned special bundles and sales.

My friend doesn't even know how to use Vayne and got it randomly from the hextech for free, I almost quitted this game. I'm sad.

well the skin looks awesome but... well ill put it this way you would have to be a Vayne main
I got it out of a random shard reroll, and I dont even own Vayne.

I got it just now and im so HAPPY :D :D . I opened like 4 - 5 Hextech chests and got the skin shard. 
I put in $20 opened a chest and got it awhile back, so not $300 at all. It's all random.
this skin worth maximum 1820 rp and thats bullshit sktt1 vayne is better than that
You can get gemstones guaranteed in certain sales. I did it for Hextech Annie during Worlds. Besides, this is kinda false equivalence, as you're not spending $300 for Soulstealer Vayne, you're spending $300 on chests that you can use to get skins, champs, icons, ward skins, ect.
I just spend 80$ and got 10 Gemstone.
About 10 hextech crystals.
Basically your life's worth of pocket change if you're unlucky.
No skin is worth 300$, but you can gradually get it by opening chests!
