Worldbuilding: Your Turn! Part II

I suppose it's time for another one of these posts! I'm going to format it a little differently this time. Pick one or do both if you want:

  1. Ask me about something I've posted (so if you have a "what if" or "would this exist" about food, language, music, etc) or something similar, and I'll see if I can think up an answer. Answers not canon (yet), but hey, it's for fun.
  2. What topics do you think have flown under Riot's radar and would like to see built up more? (I posted about a lot of them, but there are surely countless others. Runeterra's militaries for example are something I haven't covered due to lack of knowledge on military affairs, historical or modern.)

I would assume they look like a Picasso piece gone wrong, except with some animals in the mix, sort of like a fucked chimaera. Or badly drawn fan art of Cassiopeia.

I'm interested in the cultural relationship between Demacia and Mount Targon. How did such a reclusive and conservative nation get influenced by such a distant and magical place? The origins of the Crown of Stone would be interesting, but I'm sure there has to be a deeper connection.

Healthcare/medicine in runeterra. What's it like in different regions and what are attitudes towards healthcare like?

We can guess that Ionia uses magic to heal and shurima maybe too. Piltover probably has some technologies and we can cheat and compare Targon and Shurima to ancient Greek/Egyptian medicine. Ionia maybe uses healing similar to chinese medicine too?

We sort of know Piltover doesn't have a universal healthcare system which affects Zaunites the most and Demacia probably does have a universal healthcare system.

Does Noxus even have healthcare?

Also your geography post was made before the new map so it would be great to see your points after knowing more of the geography but also including wind directions/tectonic plates/rainfall patterns/other geography stuff.

The Baccai. All we know is they're a bunch of people who Ascended wrong and didn't die immediately. I think there's a connection to be had between them and the Darkin, too. Aatrox depression-monologues about his inability to regain his Ascended form and describes his body as "crude," "decaying," and a bunch of other adjectives that make it clear he's not a fan of how he looks.

Now the Darkin are way, way better at staying alive and killing stuff than a Baccai presumably would be, but how would a Darkin react to the thought that they now have the "monstrously twisted" trait in common? Like a Baccai, a Darkin can never attain a true Ascended form. Unlike Baccai, the Darkin are haunted by the memory of being Ascended before.

But that comparison must sting. The Baccai are warped monsters because they failed to Ascend. The Darkin failed at being Ascended and became warped monsters.

I'd love to know more about the various religions in Runeterra. Something short, sweet, and to the point for each region would suffice. Mount Targon for example has several entries on the Universe map devoted to fleshing out the Lunari and Solari, even going so far as to show us what the followers of these orders might look like (outside of Leona and Diana), and how their faiths inform the way they dress and behave.

I wanna know more about the Veiled Lady and how exactly Demacians came to worship her. I wanna know what spiritual beliefs a brutal expansionist empire like Noxus might hold. Are there churches devoted to Janna in Piltover/Zaun? And why the hell were the inhabitants of the Blessed Isles so fixated on the Eye of Providence symbol (something to do with the Watchers, maybe, or even Vel'Koz? They did have a passion for knowledge).

So many questions.

What even is the relationship between Katarina and Cassiopeia nowadays. The two barely ever mention each other in their separate lore pages yet they are sisters. Do they love each other ? Respect one another ? Are they rivals ? Or perhaps grown apart because of their differering set of skills and passions. Considering Cassiopeia is technically in hiding at the moment since her transformation, does Katarina even care ?
