Her effects and her model are a bit outdated when compared to other champions. Her effects also don't feel like they are coming from someone who is apparently the Storm's Fury. Out of the original 40 champions, Janna is one of the few who's visuals haven't been touched since released (I do not count the texture rebalance in 2015)I'd also like to see particles on her ult. Is one coming anytime soon?
Janna, Tryndamere, and Kayle actually had visual updates very early on. Look for some old shots of Janna's atrocious hair and Kayle's pathetic little wings.
Also, please look into Forecast Janna. It's still my favorite skin in the game.
Janna already had a Visual Update which was very, very early. Back then her hair looked like a bunch of oddly shaped bananas. She was one of the first ones who got a Visual Update, the first one being Kayle, whose wings before the update looked pathetic small.
There's way more champions who could use those freshen ups like Cho'Gath, Urgot, Zac, Olaf, etc. Mostly Olaf i would say amongst the ones i've played that seriously feel they need freshen up.
Technically Lulu and Lee Sin also since i would say the 'shield' they both basically do feels very 'old' ish.

O.o Janna already received a visual update, she was one of the first ones actually, the amount of work is probably allocated for champions in heavy need of it like urgot, eve, etc. maybe once the whole roster is updated she'll get revisited? it's a long way until then though.
Riot has already stated they don't really plan on doing plain visual updates anymore when they can have a full package of new visuals, voice, gameplay, and lore all at the same time. So unless we reach a point where Janna just seems super outdated or in a massive need of a rework, she's probably not gonna get much for the next couple years as long as we got guys with a larger need for large-scale reworks like Warwick and Urgot.
I liked her old splash but I agree.
