New champions are pretty 'aight.

The new champions are certainly an interesting pair. And I'm saying this by looking at there kit and play style. It's been a good while since we got a brand new Support champion, aka Tahm Kench. And I'm not including reworked champs, or secondary support characters, I mean pure support. So that would be throwing Taric off the table, and Ivern off the table. If you don't have those guys, our last support champ was Tahm, released nearly two years ago.

So, seeing this new Support has made me happy. I'm not a Support main, instead a Top/Tank main, but as my primary support character is Taric, I am excited to see a new one. Same with with the ADC. Sure the last one we got was just last season, and not that long ago even, but still, a new ADC being released with a new Support already makes it feel really good, as the fact that they have story and specific interactions with each other really hits it home in some ways, for some people of course.

There are of course other who absolutely hate them and have gripes with them about the appearance they have, and the new race that was added with them, and I do have some negative thoughts about that. It feels like it just slams a big spike right in the lore as an entirely new race was discovered and no one new about it before hand, which, as a lore enthusiast, eh, don't really enjoy a bit too much, as well as some champs already being told that they are apart of that race.

The appearance they have, it, uh, it's alright. I certainly like how they were inspired by a Phoenix and a Harpy, as when they were being made, we can tell from the leaks that the code names they had were "The Harpy and The Phoenix", and you can see that if you look at there appearances and compare them to mythology, they do hold some likeness to that, and the design team seemed to want some champs that referenced that appearance. Although the fuzzy ears still confused me a bit. That part I don't know. But I guess normal human ears would look a bit strange on them. I guess. No clue.

The voice overs for them though do seem pretty fitting, Xayah being a bit of an angst at times though. But of course when you first hear Rakan you're turned off, and I did think it was Nolan North because he sounded so much like Nathan Drake, but, the more and more I listened to his voice lines, he sounds really good and fits his theme as "The Charmer". Now, this is directly from searching what charmer meant, and it's this "a person with an attractive and engaging personality, typically one who uses this to impress or manipulate others.", so, he fits that perfectly. And about half the voice lines he has fits that suave voice that most imagine him too, and I would say compete's with Taric at times. And don't you dare say that Taric couldn't put you in bed in half a second. Flat. At MOST.

But the game play, which League is primarily centered around of course, looks fantastic. The synergy the two have with each other is of course a double edged sword. If you ban one, the other will not succeed as well as they would if they had the other. So say you ban Rakan. You instantly get rid of half the potential damage that Xayah has. And if you ban Xayah, you get rid of Rakah's "safety net" in case he dives in too deep. But when separate, they do seem to have the ability to play on there own perfectly fine. Again, one would be a bit limited without the other, but the idea comes across most.

And uh, that's about it with my thoughts on the new champs. Sure people will have disagreements with this, as many people have been complained to about the opinions they have, and many people are indeed posting the thoughts they have, but I just wanted to add my own.

tl;dr. Pretty 'aight. Better love story then Twilight. : ^)
