How Powerful is the Order of Shadows Exactly?

In Kayn's bio, he and only one other ninja easily killed an entire Noxian patrol who were guarding Rhaast. I'd assume Noxus would post elite soldiers to guard such a valuable artifact, but Kayn and his friend made mincemeat out of them. So how does the Order stack up to other champions? Can Kayn take on Sion? Can Zed? How much of a threat are they to Noxus really?

The Order of Shadows is effectively a small, but very elite, army of specialists. They can make operations like the one in Kayn's backstory to deny assets to Noxus or destabilize areas of the empire, but they would likely not stand a chance against Noxus's armies in open combat. They're saboteurs and assassins, not really soldiers.

So while the Order can accomplish much, they're largely dependent on avoiding direct conflict and working in the shadows - something that the Black Rose knows all too much about. If the Order tried to take on Noxus Prime, they'd almost assuredly come into conflict with the Rose, and that's not a fight I think they can outright win.

Gangplank Pirates win against ninjas, GP stole an important item from the Order of Shadows... so, i dont think that they are powerfull enough to defeat the Noxian Army (or Sion alone).. But, to be fair, GP stole a whole ship of the Noxian army as well

Can Kayn or Zed take on Sion... Well, that depends, is Sion stacking armor? All jokes aside though, I'm with Helmight on this one. The Order of the Shadow, while very powerful and elite, is secretive. They prefer to work in the shadows as their name implies, and try to manipulate the fate of Ionia from behind the scenes, much like their rivals in Kinkou Order. Also you have to take into account that many other champions could of made short work of those elite Noxian guards. It would be like a champion vs. a minion wave. Obviously the champion is going to win because only the most elite fighters in all of Runeterra are selected to fight in the League of Legends.

In open combat i dont think anyone short of Galio or Naut can take on sion (maybe renekton). Now if it's subterfuge i think the the order would have a good chance of winning if they are on their home turf but if its on noxian land then the black rose would probably win due to the sheer and diverse amount of magic they have at their disposal.

Well, I know they definitely couldn't do anything against say the Shadow Isles. Kayn might stand a chance though cause of Rhaast, but I'm not really sure about that.

They, in first, are secret agents. Kahn used walls a lot to make this very fast attack. Plus Noxus' soldiers were not prepared, cause they prob was thinking that on their land they are kinda safe.

What's more interesting - Does Order of Shadow have political strength or influence? Do they have political weight?
