I personally like every single one of them (still on the fence about the amumu ones rn but I'll prolly come around) I didn't think there was a waybtonprefer the old ones. The originals are soooo dated looking...
Forbidden Siren3 votesEveryone has different taste. Not everyone is going to like the same thing.
Personally, there are some Chinese splash arts that are amazing and some that are just plain awful.
Duke Anax2 votesThis. Some of the Splash arts better are definitely than the current ones.
Some were you could take eitehr, others depend on opinion.
But there are quite a few that are objectively worse.
BoomBoom Blitzcrank for example. the NA one looks quite nice. The chinese one shows a robot that only barely resembles Blitzcrank, the background makes no sense and it even has the gloves from the NA one crappily photoshopped.
And there is so much wrong with crimson Akali that I don't even know where to start. The Na one is really fine though.
JayHog19921 votesI like them, but find the Emumu splash art scary because of those yordles looking like ghosts in the background.
Skelenth1 votesThe thing is: some of them display a whole different kind of character than the old ones. See Akalis Crimson splash. Looks like Bloodmoon, but it isn't. Asside the whole bloody decapitated head in the foreground, this would cause more confusion than the "newness" would be worth
Ebonmaw Dragon1 votesI love that Censored Karthus Face, is ten times better than the spooky one that we have now... http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/3406/2521/original.gif
-sarcasm-
BreadSammich1 votesI recant the absolutist viewpoint from earlier. I would say MOST are better but the Crimson Akali is definitely completely different (loses the anime feel that the current one has (which is really odd considering the new one is Chinese)) and APK Amumu looks like a depressed Charlie Brown character. And other are confusing (why does LH Alistar look fiery?) But as mentioned earlier:

Everyone has different taste. Not everyone is going to like the same thing.
And I guess riot has different taste then some of us
kDrakari1 votesReally? You think the Nightraven Fiora one looks like an improvement?
