I'm planning to start a family with someone I met on League, the Varus changes enrage me!

I made sure to sleep of this before writing it all out. I've been playing since season 1. Met my fiancee on league. Met up in RL hit it off and now we are here. I really liked the old cheesy lore. Sure it was dumb but it was dumb and fun.

I accept why Riot wanted to move away from the Fields of Justice lore even if I disagree with the move. But the transition has been about as pathetic as it possibly can be. I've been lurking through the entire process and it has been armature hour at best.

Years later huge numbers of champion voice overs still reference summoners/ address you directly as a summoner. If the lore was actually supposed to tie into the game updating those VO's would have been a priority. Start a separate team attached to the lore team if you have to.

Fine. Mistakes happen but the Varus lore rework is unessesary and garbage. The story certainly needed fleshing out, but it was a perfectly good base to build on. Just like with Trundle while the story might not have connected with the "wider audience" the small core of people that enjoyed the story cared about it deeply.

REMOVING VARUS FAMILY WAS THE WRONG DECISION. Make Varus gay. Being gay dosen't mean you can't be a father or a family man! The bond of family goes far beyond biology and blood!

Whoever pulled thew trigger on the Varus changes I strongly suggest you do some soul searching. If you cannot be happy building your writing off the 7+ years of existing canon its time to resign and go do your own thing.
