They have opposite ultimates. I am sure the basic abilities don't have parallels since Morde might get a complete overhaul later, but keep the ult for thematic purposes.
Basically, Kalista makes a willing pact with an ally to aid in battle against foes Morde forcefully rips the soul from his enemies to fight against their allies.
If it was anybody from the current roster, it was Hecarim.
Morde uses a mace, Kalista has multiple spears in her back.
Also why does everyone keep assuming someone in the Shadow Isles betrayed her everyone in the Shadow Isles is on the same side. There is no Shadow Isles character that turns on another why would Kalista be an exception. You don't see Demacians that want to kill Demacians.
Ya no, spears were her downfall. Not a mace. Plus, Mordekaiser isn't even shrouded on the pages used.
It is surely not Morde. When they started to tease Kalista they added a black mist to 7 betrayers. If Mordekaiser betrayed Kalista,he would have been marked for sure. But he wasn't.
Normally I'd say it could have been Hecarim(who was marked),but Kalista doesn't have any quotes for him(nor Mordekaiser),so I doubt it.
In the Q&A today A rioter said that the puppet show has to do with what happened to Kalista, but she wasn't the girl slain on the boat. So I'm guessing that, unless they were just saying that it was the generic way Kalista became what she is, it was actually Hecarim who betrayed her.
I'm thinking that she was in charge of the guard or something, maybe a close lieutenant to Hecarim.
I mean it'd make sense if he was some horse-riding captain, most SI champs have influence on what they were like in life. (IE thresh being a really mean warden who chained up prisoners)
I like to think she tried to stop the ruined king from doing whatever it was he tried to do, and Hecarim stopped her for...some reason.
