Lore website needs more accessibility

Universe of League of Legends

The main problem when trying to navigate the website is that it's extremely hard to find older stories and lores without going through an epic hunt. For example, if someone wants to read about the 'Burning Tides' event, it is so much easier to just find it on Google than on the website itself. This is a problem for newer people trying to read good old lores if they don't know what they are looking for.

Yeah they could have a story/loresection of the new collection part. And a search bar.

Overall I think there is the problem that stories who feature multiple champions are not on the pages of all these champions.

For example burning tides includes 4 champs (Gangplank Graves TwistedFate MissFortune ),but I can't find it on the pages for any of these champs,as it is counted as a Bilgewater story.

Meanwhile the "bird&the branch"-story is featured on Yasuos and Taliyahs character pages, but not on the ionia-page.

And then we have Wukongs short story, which is only featured on Wukongs character site, even though Master yi also appears in it.(I know that this is because it is basically meant to be Wukongs story, but it can still be a bit confusing)

Overall this feels a bit inconsistent and you basically have to guess where each story will land.

EDIT: Also since we have now our first race-related page,I'd say that they should make a race-tab,where they talk about the different races in runeterra.

I had to search for a forum post linking Jhin's 'Old Habits' backstory instead of finding the damn thing on Universe.

By the way, Jhin's stuff isn't on Universe. Or it wasn't three days ago.

Can we please get a HTML 5 site that is structured like a book, with a content section on the left side? That would solve everything, and could only be an addition to the current site. I would also like downloadable e-books or PDFs too.

The current site has too much focus on design, and it seems like someone forgot that we are supposed to read and enjoy the stories. I do not enjoy reading the stories on the site, so I don't read them at all there - I go to other sites. There are so few games with good solutions for consuming lore and written content.

A more streamlined version of Blizzard's Overwatch comic site would be nice: https://comic.playoverwatch.com/en-us/mccree-train-hopper You could have one section for animated comics (you can download static ones), and one section for books.

Why can't we at least get to download the stories?

So I pretty much just caught up on Lore in the past day or two and honestly posts here are a lot better at giving everything in a clear way but I think that is half the fun of it. Just diving in and piecing it all together was kind of frustrating but really fun. And after I came here to the boards and saw all the recap posts and filled in all the things I couldn't fit together myself. To me League of Legends lore isn't supposed to be set up like a book but more like a real time puzzle. Looking at the new pieces as they are given to us is how it is supposed to be experienced, and while starting it later isn't exactly user-friendly it is still really cool. Saying that though I can see how someone who wants to find really specific information could just find it frustrating. Irritating to someone who is casually interested but to someone who wants a deep experience I think it is spot on.

I don't like the Universe page. It's a good idea, just implemented poorly because of your title post - accessibility.

An example of a good info/lore page (for me) is the classic WC3 page.

Here's Warcraft 3's page.

http://classic.battle.net/war3/neutral/firelord.shtml

Now I know this is technically the Warcraft 3 strategy guide, but each page for the champions and units even comes with a short lore blurb! What's really neat is how it's organized. There's a frozen tab bar on the left that lets you go through to where you want to go 'Neutral'/Races/etc... Imagine if the Universe page could just tell you Noxus/Demacia/Etc instead of having to scroll down.

Even better is that when you're in the specific race category, on the top center of the page are links to relevant units/heroes for that race. So if you thought the Blademaster was cool then wait until you read on the Tauren or Troll Beserkers!

It's just easy and convenient because the links are a real utility. A lot of the universe page is large and flashy/splashy which makes it really clunky.
