So is the Void just a spooky purple world now?

Originally the Void was the space between spaces; a realm of eldritch madness gnawing at the threshold between realities, seeking a breach through which to fill the material universes with its special brand of terror. A place seething with impossible things that must be contorted into physical form to subsist in a place as alien as the physical world. A place full of things that just scarcely begin to conform to natural laws upon manifesting in Runeterra.

But the problem is, this game doesn't have other realities anymore.

Where as before Champions were being drawn from every corner of the Cosmos, now they've been retconned into Runterra natives (or are on their way to being such). What snippets we've gotten about Rek suggests that the Void is just... another world. One that apparently has burrowable terrain and bugbears.

Is that all there is to it, now?

Is the Void just a spooky purple world out there somewhere? Are the Voidborn just a bunch of aliens bent on invading Runeterra so they can steal the water or something?

Can we get a straight answer on whether or not things have changed, and if so WHY they've changed so radically?

It also has the ability to have giant dinosaur monsterish things, caterpillar beasts, praying mantis abominations and tentacle nightmares living in it. We know basically nothing about the Void, so I would say that there was always the possibility that the Void was physical in nature or had physical elements to it. Is it another planet? Is it a series of planets? Is it an alternate dimension? Is it a new reality? Sod knows. Hell just because Rek'Sai indicates some physicality to the Void doesn't mean it's all consistent right? I mean look at the differences between the Voidborn, if they weren't all purple you'd wonder how they could possibly be related.

All Is that while retcons have made old champs in to Runeterran natives, we have Bard who is in no way native to Runeterra. So there are other realities, planes of existence and worlds beyond Runeterra, the Void included.

Exactly.

We know basically nothing.

What little we knew from Kass, Malz, Cho, and Koggy's lore early on suggested an eldritch realm between realities. Or rather, explicitly stated it in Cho's lore. Koggy's heavily implied that Voidborn are non-physical before they manifest in Valoron. I'm basically wondering if the lore of these early Void champions has been supplanted.

Basically, I'm hoping we might get a straight answer.

Is the Void just a spooky purple world somewhere?

Or is it something more exotic?

If it is something weirder, as the older lore suggests, I don't really want to know exactly what it is. But if is just another material realm with a purple filter then I think that information would be nice to have.

Should I fear the Void as The Black Hole is a shared Fear by Human Beings? Are there Demons near or in the Void? What is the Void? Size, color shape, climate, and controlled by?

i dont think we were meant to know much about the void other than the creatures who come out of it
