Who cares? Well, just about everyone here except you.
Why did you decided to give your opinion to the people who would be vehemently against it? What was the thought process here? That any of us were actually gonna say "yeah you're right, fuck the story we care about. This guy's right"? You're a confusing individual NaCItyIrelia.
It's an interesting world with many different angles to it. There are mysteries about what Bard is up to, how the void is coming along, the world runes, piltover/zaun, the war between noxus and demacia.
It's a fascinating world with many ways to tell the stories and show the characters, so it's not technically necessary, but we love it just the same.
They have seperate teams for game balance and story. They aren't exclusive things to work on.
