Warwick?

The story that got released today seems to be connecting both Singed and Warwick and I'm loving me that you guys at Riot are seemingly ready to release the old wolf anew!! but... I do have some concerns about his backstory, so far it seems very in line with wolverine times a thousand, the suffering and being experimented on is pretty alike the xmen we all know and love (or hate)

The part where his limbs starts regenerating already infused with technology (techmaturgy?) is also awesome! it puts Warwick on a very niche spot story wise where he becomes this sort of miracle on a very specific science kind that so far hasn't appeared much in the story, bionanotechology (again, techmaturgy?)

What I'm concerned about is the actual Warwick VGU... Warwick is the wolf of league of legends, yes he is outdated and all but his visuals are very dear to me and probably to many, I'm not saying you guys should preserve his look but if he were to become this Urgot like creature with tubes protruding out of places and looking more like an amalgamation of beasts (chimera) instead of a wolf... I'd be very upset :S and I would expect a champion release of a real wolf in the future.

Now I don't think it's impossible to connect the current image we have of Warwick to his wolf image we've always had, so I still have hope, plus if Warwick becomes a weird link between science and magic that would be also pretty awesome.

And I know this isn't bloody roar but shifting his kit to a magic damage type of character would make him contrast a lot more from Rengar... the lion...

thoughts? Edit for clarity and almost TL;DR:

Dont get me wrong, I agree, he looks as if he was a dancer werewolf, so yeah it sucks, the outfit sucks, the claws sucks and he's also pretty goofy looking, all of this is true and I think all of that should be changed, what I disagree with would be turning him into a Sion/urgot with wolf features... currently he IS a full on wolf and this is the only salvageable feature he has, he is not a cyborg, nor an experiment with tubes protruding, nor a person mid transformation, he's a full fledged wolf like warrior and that's precisely what I'd like Riot to preserve...

A chimera is not a goat/snake/lion, though that's what they are typically portrayed as. A chimeraical creature is a creature that is created from spliced or combining DNA from multiple creatures to fuse into one, singular organism. Chimerism in humans is basically created by twins, who in the womb, didn't develop into separate beings but instead became fused together and developed as one, where a seemingly normal human can exhibit 2 completely different strands of DNA depending on where you pull it off of them. In short, what Singed refers to in this story is making a chimera that is a combinant creature of human and beast through his alchemy. He clearly chose a wolf.

I Have to agree. I'm not getting a werewolf feel at all. I do understand that this is just a small tease to what Warwick is going to be. There is still a lot of story left to tell. So my hope that the transformation isn't complete and he becomes more wolf like through the rest of the stories.
