Could events like Burning Tides happen more then once a year ?

So let me start off saying that Burning Tides was one of the most fun things Riot has ever done, and I have played for years. However I was wondering if events of that size could happen more then once a year. Thing is, all the nations could use a visit from the lore and rework teams, but if we go one by one, this would take us a small forever.

That depends on the scale of work Riot can accomplish for an event. It needs more then just new lore, it needs art, new game modes/maps, models update, new voice-overs, new splasharts sometimes. It's a hella lot of work. Not really sure what is Riot Games usual pace of work, but is sure as hell gonna take a lot of time to prepare something like Bilgewater Event. I'm afraid that we'll see only a single Major Event each year, but nobody says that minor events like Harrowing or Snowdown cannot get a bit more of work, who knows.

I disagree with needing game mode/map D: instead of that add skins for profit.

Skins are always a never-ending event :v

Sorry to say, but some Rioters have said that Riot doesn't have a lore team anymore, or even a narrative team.

They apparently currently have a "Foundations" team, but judging by their name, I doubt they are in charge of making new lore content, rather I think they are mostly focused on retconning old content, thus making the foundation for the new lore by removing the old.

You say that as if that means that they can't do these kind of events anymore.

I'd love more events like Burning TIdes.

Hopefully Riot can continue to provide more of the same stuff!

I just kinda wish event lore had some direct world significance like it used to.

It would be cool to hear how the Bilgewater event is affecting other nations and champions, and to see that precipitate some kind of interaction.

Riot used to make that kind of lore. Now they don't. I don't mean to be a hater, but I gotta admit it's kinda lame.

Imagine if we could have an event like burning tides that wasn't just confined to Bilgewater!

Imagine what a new-age multi-faction event would look like! It would be awesome!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember all these "interactions" anymore.

Even in the JoJ,the events were usually restricted mostly to the nations that were involved with them. The kalamanda incident had no effect on Ionia,Piltover, etc. Same goes for the noxian anti-barbarian campaign,or the ionia-noxus conflict. Other nations rarely replied to those events and even if they did,it was mostly just a quick comment about it.

Eitherway,I guess they want to establish the different nations first, before they start interactions between them, which is a pretty solid approach.

Well let's see. They thought burning tides was going to calm us....... And still no word on the shurima bios. No I don't think so. Can't believe I even said I liked burning tides. Narrative or foundations is just doing their usually bs now.

for the size of the burning tide? we'll be lucky to get a event like that next year or the year after now we kinda are getting a small event for the project skins 5 of em plus a ward plus icons plus minion reskins it really is a mini event but anything close to the burning tides wont happen for a long time probably
