@writers Ezreal and Ryze are natural enemies

This was just kind of a random thought I had, but here we have 2 champions who aren't really connected to anyone else in the lore in any big ways. And they're kind of perfect together, in a totally antagonistic relationship

Ezreal- young cocky explorer and risk taker. wants adventure and danger and to find old stuff. doesn't have a good grasp of the arcane power in his hands yet.

Ryze- old crotchety nomad dude who wants to keep anyone from having any fun with runes, because they're dangerous, blablabla. master of arcane magic

It's like a match made in heaven. Ezreal would totally want to find a rune and bring it back to Piltover, and Ryze would absolutely want to turn him to dust for it. But neither of them is really a bad guy. Just an idea for a story someday rito

What about Syndra and Ryze ?

Syndra believes in releasing all potential power and resents any attempt to restrain it,

Ryze seeks to hide potentially dangerous but powerful magical artifacts from the world out of fear of what it might do to the world.

Both killed their masters albeit with different reasons, they're very powerful mages with opposing ideologies.

Syndra "Power without limit." Ryze "Trust no-one, especially those who seek power."

Ryze in the lore is ridiculously powerful. Ezreal's got one magical item.

No contest in a fight. And as we saw in Ryze's story, it would have to be a fight if Ezreal is after/has a Rune.

Yeah I like Ryze and I also dislike ezzy. so win-win for me ^^

Also, their teleportation abilities are completely opposite. Ezzy can only do so in short bursts and all by himself, while ryze can bring people along but it takes time to charge. also Ezraels teleport is a basic ability that he uses often. while ryze is his ultimate that he would only use then it's necessary as he is more grumpy but responsible.
