So what left for Malphite character?

Galio is a man-made colossus. Malphite is an earth elemental/rock monster.

So while they are both big and made of stone,there are some clear differences in terms of archetype.

Now in terms of personality I guess that they'll make malphite a bit more calm. One reason why they made Galio so joyful is because his character is only awake for a limited amount of time,so every time he gets into a fight,he also gets to live. But I'm pretty sure that malphite is going to be active at all times,so him being calmer would make sense.

Malphite....just needs an overhaul in general imo.

He could be so much more...and certainly much larger too I hope as a model. Right now he just...slides earth plates and tackles into teams; if not, he's just punching them.

The elements of using Unstoppable force and having armor that increases physically on his model is quite iconic to Malph himself; however, indeed Galio now better represents the idea of a stone golem much more while Taliyah certainly uses rocks to her abilties much better as well. Perhaps some true fissure effects on the ground to cause roots/stuns on the his enemies could make him much more of a unique character.

Galio wants to fight everything just wanting a good fight. They could make it so malphite just wants to destroy everything in sight. We haven't gotten any champs like that before I believe.

In terms of character/personality, Galio is pretty far off from Malphite. Galio is very lively, whereas Malphite sounds a lot more deliberate and lax.

Malphite is pretty outdated lore-wise though, so that could change in the future, but he has dibs on his own niche they can start from: a stalwart, if simple-minded element of nature who's probably mostly calm until his frightening earthen fury is provoked.

Don't really have to change much visual design-wise about Malphite, IMO. He's a big giant rock man who slams into stuff and sends it flying with probably the most satisfying ult in the game.

Personality/vocals wise, there's probably a lot they can do, as a Malphite main I've got every line he has baked into my eardrums, which isn't hard, since there are like six. I'd like him to keep his quiet personality, not every champ needs to be super chatty. It would be nice if he had some more short phrases.
